I still cannot get over this anime series. It literally blew me away and I could not stop watching until i finished and refinished it. "Did you know death Gods like apples?" Hahaha Alright my personal favorite is L. Just because of his weird gestures and behavior is extraordinary. I personally love this anime because it is unpredictable to first view watchers 🙂 Give me your feedback on this and who you would prefer and why. 🙂

Woah! It's been ages since I watched Death Note. Truly a masterpiece, mind-boggling plot twists, and very complicated yet wonderful storyline. I guess it would be Yagami Light for me. For starters, he's just a typical student, from a typical family. But upon discovering that little black book, his life has turned 180 degrees. I admire his wit and his decision-making abilities. But then, all bad things must come to an end 🙁 So yeah, team Light for me because I always love underdogs. L on the other hand is equally amazing as well.

I liked Light up until season two... Then I sort of didn't give a shit about the series anymore.

L was the one who in end out smarted Light. Yet he had to do it out of sacrifice. It was an awesome game between the two friends. I love how light had the goal to end criminality but in the end power can devour oneself. All in all I'm sure we can all agree this series is just genius to the point where everything took you by surprise and had you pulled. 🙂 TEAM L

I like Light more because I can sympathize with his desire to make the world a better place, even though it eventually corrupts his personality towards the end. It is interesting to see his gradual change in personality and ego and I wanted to see how his utopia will turn out. In the end though, he thinks of himself as a god and thinks that his judgment is the best. He also doesn't give a damn about his "friends" or family. This adds depth into his character and that is why I love his point of view. It is interesting that in the ending, you see the flashback of the time when he just picked up the death note and you can see how he transforms from a person who wants to change the world to a narcissistic god wannabe.

The damn apples were a symbol for something, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. Maybe, it wasn't symbolic at all, and it had to do with the fact that the shinigami world harbored bitter, somewhat unpleasant fruit and shinigami prefer Earth's rich fruits. Yeah, that sounds familiar. But anyway, I'm on L's side. I'm always on the good side. I have to admit, Light was an admirable opponent. You CAN'T let your guard down around him; L should of known better. But he's human, a strange human, but human. Humans make mistakes even the genius/prodigies. And Light was human until he proclaimed he was God and bad crap went down. You just can't go around pretending to be God.

Death Note is bottom of the bin casual gateway anime for scum weeaboos and should never be discussed in a serious environment :noship: Nah but really Light was completely unsympathetic almost immediately out of the gate and L wasn't really developed much as a character beyond being a really cool detective. The only real winner is Matsuda.

L lost because he valued life of others, Light only valued his own life. That being said, I do favor L greatly. Because when L lost, he didn't weep or cry for help, he just accepted his loss. When Light lost to Near, he clung to Ryuuk's leg, begging him to save his sorry excuse for an existence, while being fully aware that Ryuuk would do no such thing and had even refused his help before. Light died begging for his life, losing to a child because he was so cocky. He didn't accept loss and was not only out-smarted, but proved that he nothing more than a child who cried because he didn't get his wit his way.

Well it is a fact that the people behind the animation on the anime was kidding around with a romantic relationship between L and Light. Hence why the scene on the rooftop and L giving Light a foot massage isn't even present in the manga. (Because some of the anime artists though that a somewhat deeper relationship between the two would be interesting.)

Imo L is more badass than Light .. I mean Light does everything with power of Death Note which anybody could use, but L uses his brain.

Hahaha L was just going through something at the time. But besides my awesome lovelife of a fantasy I am a fan of Death Note. I could rewatch with the same enthusiasm as before. Which is good enough in my book.
