Superman 64 was a great review, though IMO his best vidya review was the long and meandering retrospective on the classic Swordquest series. That said though, my favorite-ever video by him would have to be the third entry in his own spin-off series, Board James. It's also pretty short (under four minutes.) It starts off pretty tame, with a concise introduction to the game and a rundown of its rules. Then his opponent rolls in, and shit genuinely hits the fan. This was always a favorite of mine because of the way all the satanic stuff just comes completely out of left-field and of course the battle of biblical proportions at the end. [video=youtube] [/video] I also really liked watching the Castlevania series where he goes over just about every game in the franchise up to that point. You can really feel how nostalgic they make him feel and overall I'd say those videos are easily among his best work.

I like to watch them in order now and again, but I feel like everything really went downhill around episode 100. I think Ghostbusters is probably my favorite tied with Dick Tracy.

i agree since recently i think it feels like like he is sick of doing it and wants to do something else. also i think my favorite episode would probably be action 52, oh and did anyone see the avgn movie?

I don't really think so, James is really picking up and i think he deserves a bigger spot on the gaming comunity. He started all the Videogame Critic stuff.

I was really surprised to learn that he was still regularly releasing new episodes since I'd always figured that he had stopped years ago. Kinda cool to see that even after twelve years he continues to output content but I would be perfectly fine with him retiring the Nerd. As it is it's been a good long run that I doubt the gaming community will forget anytime soon.
