Angry Rant about some Anime(s)

:mad: Im honestly angry at how some anime are half-assed and produced for money.

Some examples include Gakusen Toshi Asterisk/Asterisk War. Most of the characters were made dere first and character second. :yokoplz:

I guess flashy animations and copy pasta characters is what makes money now :sigh:

I don't know, I don't notice it so much cus I usually only watch the ones that have good reviews and people are saying they're good. But yeah, there are way too many garbage anime being created, like why even create it if it's obviously bad?

Its all about da money now, and people buy into these dumb cliches which allow them to make more garbage-tier anime. Light novel is good though

When I see an anime like that, I go read some more reviews, and if it isn't worth it, I just quit after episode 1. So.

Yeah exactly, lol. it's not like I ever jump into an anime without looking it up first.

Yeah, more often than not I'm disappointed when I try a new anime. That's why I usually go by either recommendations or online writing because, honestly, I'm really tired of being disappointed.

Sometimes you can find really good gems in bad animes. For example, an anime called ghost stories was so unpopular that when Funimation was asked to do a dub, they told their team to do whatever they wanted with the story and dialogue. Go on YouTube and look it up, "ghost stories English dub." It's really funny.

it's because the studios don't want to take risks with original stories etc. they would rather spend their money on something that already an established fanbase (from manga or whatever.) or unless they they have a big name behind them, it's probably not worth the risk. it's the exact same with the film industry

Another issue is when anime seem to just be rushed and give up on 2/3rds of the way through, and then you have a pretty solid anime throughout most of it, but the ending episodes just fall flat completely. Which leaves you feeling "...What?" An example of this is Deadman Wonderland.

The matter to the fact is, manga and anime are a dying trend in Japan. It barely makes any money at all, it normally only gains a bit of profit per series. One of the biggest reasons for this is that the newer generations take it the easy way and just watch it pirated online and barely buy any merchandise. Hence why anime and manga artists aim for a specific audience that they know it will sell to as they cannot afford "it MAY sell well". I do agree that a great deal of newer anime is somewhat terrible, but there are good series here and there as well. The thing is, if you wish to blame it no someone then don't do it on the creators all the time. Currently the anime and manga market is struggling thanks to its newer consumers.

I don't really know haha. I guess the story was really boring and cliche or something which they poke fun at in the dub.
