Angel Beats got me into Anime, I don't think it's a 10/10 but it was really enjoyable and a very good gateway drug for Anime (especially for non degenerates).

My friend that got me into it made me watch the dub and that turned me off of it for about a year though. That dub is really bad.

I agree with @syntax.
It's fine and has some great emotional scenes, however the pacing issues and mood whiplash don't do it any favors. Also the fact that there's no more Dead Monster Girls songs being released is another minus.

Anyways everyone knows the true best anime is Cross Ange.
