So I stopped into the local Barnes & Noble today on the way back from work, and I noticed they had set up a small section for Gundam kits and other anime merchandise. I saw that they had these tiny (I mean like 3" max) little "Gundam Converge" model kits for like $6 a pop, and they looked pretty detailed. I found a Zaku (No.11 in the series) which captured my heart, so I threw it in with my purchase.
Much to my surprise, upon opening the package I found out that mine was purple, despite it being very green on the box. I scoured the internet for bit and didn't find any immediate results, so my wishful thinking has led me to believe that I had a rare one on my hands.
Ah well, I quite like surprises - although I was hoping it'd have the rifle with the neat pan-shaped magazine. Rare or otherwise, I was quite bored, so I took the opportunity to touch it up a bit (and / or ruin it) and refine some of my panel-lining skills. Maybe I'll go back and buy a few more - the fastest way to my heart are little knick-knacks like this, especially Gundam-related stuff.
I think he turned out alright, though. Besides, purple is my favorite color anyways.

Edit: If anyone is curious about the scale, the torso is roughly the size of a US quarter - these guys are super tiny.
