What are you currently watching and why should we watch it?

I'm currently watching Michiko to Hatchin. It's a story about an escaped convict and her daughter in Brazil. It starts off really odd so if your gonna give it a chance watch at least the first two or three episodes to get a feel for the show. You should watch because of the unique setting and story. There is great character development especially with Hatchin the young girl and the animation is great. Loading Image

okay - re:zero and boku no hero are good, kiznaiver is meme anime, kabaneri is shit, but I just want to see if it can get worse, watching magi because i watched the other parent series and enjoyed it, and higurashi because it was recommended.

I'm watching Sengoku Otome 'cause of three reasons: Cute girls, the occasional historical in-joke, and the fact that Japan made an entire 13-episode anime based soley off a themed pachinko machine.

What really struck me though, was the fact that they had the balls to cast one of their country's most significant historical figures (Ieyasu Tokugawa) as the main villain. Now granted, nobody in the Sengoku period was a saint, but Tokugawa did some pretty nasty stuff he gets away scot-free with because of historical romanticization. Compared to his depiction as a confident yet naive teenager in Sengoku Basara, it's honestly a rather refreshing take; one I'd hardly expect from a show of this caliber.

It's mostly the girls, though. Everyone in this show is qt af. <3

Well, that kind of opinion exist because of culture shock. Just like an elder people who forced to watch South Park and found it really weird and vulgar. Or normies who watch Gintama and doesn't get the joke.

You can find Pirates of Carribean, Titanic, Barrack Obama, Steve Jobs, and random cameo on this anime.

If this anime actually bad, it wouldn't rank high on Japan Animation TV Ranking and contribute high sales for TV Tokyo.

Note: Don't watch the US, European, or Indonesian version, every foreign dub version is completely weird.

I finished Michiko to Hatchin. It was really great, the ending wasn't the greatest but throughout the show I was kept entertained and interested. It reminded me of Cowboy Bebop, so I decided to watch the movie which I haven't watched yet.

So currently I'm watching Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door. You should watch it if you like amazing animation, great storytelling involving a sci fi world, with great characters and great voice acting. I'm not sure if it takes place after the show or not but if you haven't watched the show you can still watch the movie and not be lost. So far it's really good and the fight scenes are great especially with these two

Ah, I loved that movie, even moreso than any of the individual episodes. Well, aside from Mushroom Samba.

I just finished watching Kamisama no Memochou, an amazing series.

It sort of plays on the whole "we're NEETs" thing a bit too much, but the series as a whole was pretty amazing; the character building is nice, and the amount of genuine feels I experienced throughout the series was beautiful.

And Alice is qt af:

10/10 wud recommend the series.

Up to where I watched. It took forever to accomplish any thing and kept beating it's point again and again, i'll probably finish it eventually. It's a visual feast, but thematically it feels completely empty and juvenile

Anyway, im currenly on a 90's anime mood so im re-watching Jigoku Sensei Nube, You're Under Arrest and Rurouni Kenshin. 90's anime was the shit man...

Jigoku Sensei Nube: Ummm... It's a teacher who has a monster trapped inside his left hand and exorcises demons at a haunted school. Lighthearted but if you have a penchant for Japanese and Asian mythology, you're in for a good ride.
You're Under Arrest: So damn good, mix a soap opera with a police themed plot, lot's of action and good character development. Also a hot trap.
Rurouni Kenshin: Lighthearted at season one, season two has the best god damn plot of all anime, awesome action, lovable characters and killer soundtrack.

A few things on my now watching list... Crest of the Stars - this is dope, though i need to find a good quality version (also Banner of the Stars, which is not exactly the same from what i can tell); I have been getting into Yu Yu Hakusho which is also very cool and the element of character transformation takes me back to the old days of watching DBZ as a kid; Also i have been working through Initial D season 2 which has a killer soundtrack all through season 1 and beyond!
