Nah not here, after year 10 you've technically graduated with the most basic skills so you can head off to a place called TAFE (Technical and Further Education). I think he went to one but completely flunked and then didn't return.

Nope. If you get expelled, you can't go to any schools in the district you were expelled from until the expulsion period is over. At least that's how it was for me, in my city. Personally, I've had nothing but free time for the last 3 years and I don't mind it at all. Having 24/7 free time is only bad if you're a person who needs/likes structure. As long as you have the motivation to pursue activities on your own, it's not bad at all.
