I wasn't expecting realism, but when I saw people riding around in police cars I knew my time was up.

That being said FFXIV is a fairly realistic MMORPG. Nothing really sticks out aside from Whisper-go. It has its fun costumes, but they fit in because of how they are introduced in to the game (e.g. through the in-game Arcade park). However, FFXIV is Japanese and TERA is Korean. The common theme with Korean MMOs from my experience is big boobs and slutty costumes.
