malmon Ye, I explicitly stated that the underside is beyond repair and still got like a dozen responses. Then I sold the car to the first and lowest bidder.
Anyway, I'm glad that the E36 finds its way into soulful hands. I think it's a rather underappreciated car with a poor reputation. In my experience it doesn't take nearly as much care as some haters say it does, and it's far more refined than how it may seem. Really I think it's one of the most brilliant cars of the 90s, with an amazing quality to price ratio.
On a different note, some time ago I got the idea that a car is a physical manifestation of its designer's dream. I wish you the determination to keep the dream alive.
