Living in the south for two weeks seems to have made me a friendlier and more sociable person. I'd already been shedding a lot of anxieties and distractions over the summer - not to mention celebrating the Dixie accent in my personal writings - but coming back and noticing just how reserved my schoolmates tend to be, I can't help but wonder how these people get by.

Maybe it's 'cause I go to a tech school. From what I've seen, these folks ain't one for casual conversation. :p

Tell me about it. The Japanese are ultra reserved, coming from a latin american country where we tend to give brohugs and casual kisses to people in a healthy, hefty basis it's hard to adapt.
Gonna have that in mind once i go back to my country because people who stand like 2 feet aside from each other are often looked as a "perkin culiao".
