Your Name's the one that's on the tip of everyone's tongue, and I hear Summer Wars was amazing, but I'd personally have to recommend Time of Eve, a thoughtful science fiction piece that explores not only Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics, but also a complex hypothetical relationship between human beings and humanoid machines.

Lookin' for something a bit more lighthearted, yet still genuinely interesting? Check out Bodacious Space Pirates. A hilarious and clever rom-com that thrives on subtle absurdity? Try The Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun. Classic shounen with fun characters? Can't go wrong with Soul Eater. And if you're looking for something that'd be good for the soul, it's hard not to recommend Barakamon and/or Nichijou.

I realize your MAL might be kinda outta date, but I really could go on. Suffice to say, there's plenty to watch if you're willing to get back into it. ^^

I took a quick peak at your plan to watch list and thought there were some items in there that I think would be a good springboard back into animu.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu are practically both classics at this point. The former is a wonderful, over-the-top celebration of the giant robot genre and the latter is like a high school anime but not. Bakemonogatari's another weird subversion of

Netflix's Death Note was amazing! At first was making a list how obvious the Creator didn't see the manga and anime. But then saw HOW FUCKING GREAT it was ignoring that. Had everything a live action adaption should have. Action, suspense, etc.Ryuk atill awesome as always. Yes the mivie has the stereotypical american highschool feel at firat, but weeeeeew it is just epic as the first time getting laid. I recommend it to everyone!
