For the most part I feel that is true. I'm, for the most part, chill and easygoing and many of the people I've come across who listen to metal are also pretty easygoing individuals themselves. Where as people I know who avidly listen to electronica are seemingly more outgoing socially, and seem to have more energy about them.
I personally listen to Metal and Electronica at probably equal frequency. I do feel more attentive and lively when listening to Electronica, and more mellow when listening to Metal bands. On a side note I concentrate better when listening to classical/piano.
