Also what is meant by read a book a day? Do you mean like this guy where he reads a synopsis, the whole book or just some of the book?
I'm guessin' he meant "read part of a book or article every day".
That said however, sticking to that resolution is easier said than done. As I get busier, my schedule seems to become naturally chaotic; pick-up conversations with friends can last up to an hour, and it's not uncommon for work to stretch well beyond my initial estimates of completion time. As such, my mind gradually shifts towards favoring short, encapsulated bursts of entertainment (such as wasting time on Reddit or GoBoiano) instead of recreation that requires sustained, unbroken attention (such as reading a novel or a chapter of a manga.)
This preference naturally reverses itself during the long, leisurely breaks between semesters. In any case, I'd probably benefit from finding a way to cut that sorta junk humor out of my life.
