I'm going to assume that opinions on this game are about 50/50.
Mmm, it's hard to say. I haven't played a whole lot, so take what I say with a pinch of salt. I enjoy that you don't feel pressured to grind to max level to do end-game dungeons/raids or something. Really feels like you can just walk around and do whatever you feel like doing at the time, and you seemingly can always help for guild missions regardless of level. There's always something you can be doing or helping with.
That being said, Cash shop costumes are stupidly overpriced, and people currently despise the Ghillie suit considering it hides your name tag above your head. Apparently in the KR servers this is no big deal, and no one even uses the suit anymore. So i'm not sure what to think on that one.
I personally dislike the "Enchant" system that games use, which is what Black Desert uses. Getting weapons to +1, +2, +3, etc. I feel it's a very lazy system, and usually pretty flawed and way too time/money consuming.
The combat is great in my opinion, I hate the typical 19 hotkey games. It's used too much, and my fingers ALWAYS struggle with it. So with how the combat is in Black Desert, it feels infinitely more comfortable to me.
The game is definitely a grindfest, a lot of grinding is needed to level. Which, is not unexpected. This is a case for the majority of MMO's, and with how fun the combat is to me, I don't even mind it. MMO's are considerably more fun with someone to talk to, so voice chatting a friend and grinding mobs together makes it a lot more fun experience. Nevertheless if you want to figure out how to do this and that with each other.
