With a rather slow start, with some romantic elements, this manhwa turns into a wild adventure with demons and witches. Yay for no witch burning.
Story:
Yes it is indeed a story about witches, may be a bit cliché, unless it’s not those kind of witches with huge personalities.
We do have the stereotypical heroes, weak mc and strong mc. The weak mc is a mere human with a bad habit, he is a sneaky little thief who constantly gets himself into trouble. On the other hand we have this crazy strong cold type of witch that could do a lot of damage to…anything I guess.
The witch is good and the guy is bad, so what’s the problem, why doesn’t she just remove him from the planet? – you may ask yourself. Well the thing is the witch doesn’t want to be involved with anyone, she tries (and I am sure you guessed it by now) to live a normal human life. Things happen though and they somehow end up in a mess, chased by demons. Demons that were created by this witch.
Characters:
Aside from the main characters, heroes and villains, there are not many interesting supporting roles. Basically all the side characters are just “I smash” type of characters that are so not important in the story.
Suri – The witch, old and powerful. She tries to run away from demons and tries to live a normal life, but she cant thanks to being exposed by Ga-min Shin.
Shin – That kind of character you resent at first but then like him for some reason or the other. He is a smartish guy that’s too curios for his own good. So far he caused most of the trouble with the witches and demons.
Art:
A more uniques style of drawing can be at times refreshing. I found myself in a new world while reading thins manhwa thanks to the artwork of Park So-yeon .
Personal Enjoyment:
Fun to read. It is really an interesting adventure that takes place in our time…wish I could meet a witch and have fun sigh .
Anyway it was really enjoyable following the rather sad story of both of the main characters that mostly suffered through their life but were still optimistic trying to reach some goals.
Good story, nice characters and a really appealing artwork, what does a manhwa need more to be considered good?
I would like to recommend this manga to the people who enjoy a lot of adventure mixed with only a hit of romance and a lot of sad backgrounds. Have fun reading.
