There's a bluray raw and good subs (35mm subs) out there so you can get this now.
Sweet, I was wondering whether the quality was good or not, but bluray is basically guaranteed yums
Yup, I watched it in the cinema and the rip and the 35mm subs were better than the ones in the cinema, and it's bluray quality.
Unfortunately you can't really replicate the cinema experience at home but it's as good as you're going to get.
Unfortunately the cinema experience is usually murmuring in the theatre, some sneezing here and there, and the occasional bark of laughter that cuts tension faster than a car driving off a cliff.
I'll take the home experience any day.
Either there isn't much murmuring/sneesing in the cinemas near me or I just don't notice it. I'd guess the latter. However I do think laughter in the cinema is fine, it didn't hurt my enjoyment of Koe no katachi or Kimi no Na Wa at all: it was pretty well timed. Maybe i've just got good audiences.
Regardless, the sound and visuals on a proper cinema screen I do appreciate more than watching on my PC.
