Hey everyone. I recently just started learning how to use HTML/CSS, got the basics down and I'm going through the Ruby CodeAcademy course now too. But I thought it'd be super cool if we could all share our webdev projects etc. Doesn't matter if it's your own little homepage, pomf clone or whatever. Just pop a URL or Github link down below, tell us a little about it and maybe why/how you made it and hopefully we can all take a peek and learn a little something or gather some inspiration! My Projects: Song Squares / GitHub Repo A silly little site running off of a Tumblr blog with a free domain name. One of my first ventures into coding stuff! Homepage / GitHub Repo My first shot at a site or homepage for myself. I think I'll make this one pretty professional and make a more silly one for myself later. No domain etc. for this one as I'm planning to actually buy some hosting and make this a legit website, but the code is on git.

Ummm I got my website, thats pretty much it: mokocchi.moe . Those download numbers cant be in any way correlated to actual users downloading my stuff probably bots. Good for you guys, I'm here in america, where a properly static ip is fucking expensive and no support for anything whatsoever. Most of our ISPs probably didn't even have usenet groups, much less continue to support them.

Unfortunately the site is hosted on my desktop, which I sometimes shut off at night (sometimes only because I'm on it so often and I don't always have timed suspend on), so there's no guarantee it will be up. I'm hoping to move the files to a Raspberry Pi server attached to an external harddrive for the database, tho. I also don't necessarily have much money to repurchase the domain for next year so recently I've been looking into stuff like Namecoin (am student without a job atm).

have you thought of using neocities to host it instead?

Not really. Though now that you mention it I don't know why that never crossed my mind as a possible solution to be honest, since I've been p. aware neocities is a thing. I'll consider it.

I want to setup a local web server with a peerflix backend for managing nyaa updates and streaming them. Your UI looks like something that could fit it excepting Disqus and stuff.
