Javascript (Node.js). I don't really care that much about the features, but the syntax and stuff. JS takes everything great about Java and C style programming and removes everything terrible. Use a good set of libraries (node.js) and you're good to go. I find JS essentially python with brackets.
However, I use Unity + C# for game development. JS is a pretty good scripting language, but I wouldn't write my games in it.
Also, GML is not a terrible language.
