I understand completely if it is a hentai/ecchi (since the words are limited to.. u know) Other than that, I only understand 1/10 lol
If it's a slice of life anime I'll understand most of it, the words that I'm unfamiliar with I usually understand due to context and so on. Anime with more complex plots are mostly mumbo-jumbo to me though.
Like very very little. Around 0.5/10
I always watch subs, but I guess I underderstand 40% of what they say. Studied some japanese because it is fun
I can understand stock words and usually I can get a vague idea what is going on.
None of it since I only watch subs, I don't like dubs since after that it just doesn't feel like anime anymore.
I know bits and pieces so idk, I still feel I would not get the full idea of what is going on without having subs on.
I mainly watch subs, but if I see a raw clip I can usually understand the common one-liners. Everything else is confusing though
i understand none of it at all
THat'd be a big fat nothing.
A fair bit. Can't say I'm really amazing at that but I got the overall sense of pretty much each action in Gokujo.
That depends.
When I watch kids anime, there's probability that I know the story 60%-100%.
And when I watch kind of Ghost in the Shell or Texhnolyze, it will be less than 60%.
I kind of enjoy not being able to understand, if I just fall asleep it probably won't matter and I can watch it again if I missed anything...
Other than very common phrases, I don't understand shit. But I'm not watching anime to learn Japanese so it's all good.
Nada. I did learn to appreciate honorifics since they don't seem to have pronouns.

this tbh
obv the more dialogue-heavy shows will be harder to understand by just seeing the visuals
I can understand basic Japanese grammar, but I'm still fairly ignorant when it comes to vocabulary and Kanji, so I maybe can pick out anywhere from 15% to 25% of what's said. Ideally, that range will increase as I study more.
