Well, I guess it's just natural that the popular sites have all these perverts and lolicons lingering around. It's okay though if one just searched for a specific manga.
There are all kinds of methods I use when I search for manga. The one I use the most is probably the "Recommendations" on Myanimelist.net. It makes it easy to find manga that are kinda similar. I also read mangas that are all from the same author a lot. Reading mangas that were all translated by the same person usually works too. And if I'm really desperate, then I always read some random shoujo mangas, cause for me, shoujo mangas are love, shoujo mangas are life ♡
I use similar methods, though I use the MALgraph more. Once you have a certain number of series in your manga list/anime list, you can get computer generated recommendations which match your favorites genres, etc. It also informs you of the other series in a franchise you're reading, so its pretty handy for me.
User recommendations also count, but sometimes they tend to go wrong.
I checked the Aoharu X Kikanjuu page on MAL and it seems quite a lot of people have said that its similar to Ouran Highschool Host Club. Although apart for the main character being a reverse trap, there's really not much similarity. Still good, nonetheless.
Just wanted some opinions, since I sometimes run out of mangas. Hope the MALgraph helps you check some stuff before you jump on random shoujo mangas XD. I haven't tried the same translator method, but thinking about it now, it must be effective because most of the translators only translate what they like. So if I like a translated work, I'll also probably like the others, huh?
Thanks for the idea~
