I update this every so often when I collect enough wallpapers in my desktop rotation, and the use a select few. I thought the images weren't loading before I realized they were supposed to be cut off like that...

I never even thought of using that resolution for phone wallpaper, that's actually a pretty neat idea... But wouldn't that mean all the images are sideways when looking at your phone vertically?

What I meant was all of these images have the blackened area for apps along the bottom of the images, as opposed to the side. Every single phone or tablet I've seen uses a left-right swipe setup for moving between your home screen and other app pages. So with the way these images are laid out, you'd have to rotate the photo 90 degrees counter-clockwise if you wanted to use it as intended. Also, all of the images are set up with the widest side along the bottom of the image... Which means even if you did crop the photo to take the blackened section out, (every app page would use the background) your photo would still be able to completely display only if you rotated the image 90 degrees. And then it would be sideways.

I understand that, and it's a really cool idea especially if you have a larger phone display to see the image in detail. But I really like having the majority of my most-used apps on the home screen, and I work around the issue of not seeing much of the wallpaper by using a very simplistic background. My lock screen is what I use for more detailed wallpaper, because almost nothing gets in the way of the image. But again, that is just my preference, I still appreciate the creative thinking behind all of this.

Alright, so when I made this thread I didn't really anticipate there being confusion on how my set-up is. Below is a screenshot of my homescreen. Naturally my phone is 1440x2560 in resolution, however I use 1080x1920 because its used more widely, and I notice no quality loss when using it with my phone. Phone: Nexus 6 ROM: Chroma 5.1.1 Launcher: Nova Status Bar: Hidden. Swipe down to see. App Drawer Button: Hidden. Swipe up to access apps. Nav Bar: 20% Smaller - I Think Icons: Tiny White Pro Fonts don't show on homescreen, and I'm pretty positive I have a custom font going as well so its smaller. Don't mind the untouched Hearthstone icon. If you have any questions about my set-up or anything let me know. I hope this sort of explains why I'm able to get away with this style of wallpaper. Larger than 1080x1920, but the aspect ratio is the same. It looks a bit strange because it's scaled with waifu2x, though it looks great on a high DPI display!

Me me I do. I prefer some kind of comfy background photo that makes it look like the icons and widgets are floating rather than being a part of the background.

I like doing that too, I tend to alter the way the launcher scrolls the background image based on what it is, though.

Ive meant too re-rice my phone for like ever, but i never really found a launcher to use with a scrolling animation I liked, so I always kept it to one page and put my icons in a folder on a sidebar. What should I use? Currently dong Nova Launcher + Whicons and a KWLP background (kinda?)
