I got the game on a massive discount once, tried to get into it, but it got really... confusing. I mean, the game seems fun, incredibly so, and everyone I know who played it confirms it - but it's certainly not the easiest thing in the world getting into it. And, given the stock price and all the DLC, the game's more of an exquisite pleasure for the chosen ones.
I mean, really - for a multiplayer game, it doesn't try too hard to compete with other games on the market. It does offer much, but it's not too easy to get into, and given the twice cheaper CS:GO, free-to-play Dota 2 or League of Legends, or even Rocket League, which costs similarly much, but already skyrocketed in popularity, it's a tough call getting the game. And now that the game finally gave into microtransactions, it's not bound to get better. Especially given the Pay to Win model, unlike other games I mentioned, where the payments are for things purely cosmetic in nature.
