I'm just wondering if anyone watched the democratic debate tonight, and if so, what are your thoughts?
Personally, I think Sanders was great. Especially the "your damn emails" line.

I've been backing Bernie for years, so I may be a bit biased when I say he did amazingly well compared to everyone else on stage. Really wish they had reached a bit wider and gotten some more people. Would have loved to see Stein or Lessig answer a few of those questions while they're still in the race.

Both Sanders and Lessig will be on Real Time with Bill Maher this Friday. I know it's not the same, but it's something.

I agree. I saw an image of Bernie today with the caption "would be the first Jewish president; doesn't mention it because it's not fucking relevant," and thought about how much Shillary truly is playing the woman card. It's fucking disgusting, really. It's disgusting that she does it, and it's disgusting how people just eat it up. I'm really sick of the mentality that women and "people of color" (another topic for another time), etc. should be in positions of power not because of how competent they are, but because they are a part of <insert group here>.

His economic policy,especially on "free tuition", is not sound; not only is it not possible because that money needs the cmoney me from somewhere it will also flood the market with unnecessary degrees. His foreign policy seems to be a mix of neoconservatism, which in turn traces its roots from trotskyism, and semi pascism. Let's not even get started on the way he reacted to those black lives matter people and the fact that he helped kill a bill which would take power from corporate america.

All degrees are necessary these days. You can't get a decent job without one. If someone has the skill and determination, why should they be kept from higher education because they are poor?

Money is not just magically made, in order for him to pay for the "free tuition" he will need to do either raise taxes or make inflation, maybe he will do both. I was referring to degrees like gender studies, African American studies(African history has merit) or doing things like majoring in elizabethan english literature; sure many of these things are nice but they're not necessarily and are hobby degrees.

Yes. Your wording wasn't really understandable in the first post. However, this is true. A lot of it would come from the top 1% once taxes are fixed, though.

That's on the receiver of the degree, then, just like it is now. If you make the conscious choice to get a gender studies degree, you have to live with that choice.

The rich pay over 80%, when did smart investment choices become such an evil thing. The fact is Bernie Sanders is doing nothing more then saying get free stuff for nothing and I'll make that guy over there pay it, this will naturally force people to hide money in tax havens.
