The IRC server is finally setup! You can join us on: irc.lewd.sx Using the port range: 6665-6667 SSL is not yet setup, as I have to re-install ircd-hybrid, but that will happen some time over the next week. I will be keeping the Discord server open for people that still want to use it, but the IRC server is there for everyone. So far there are only two channels; #nsfw, and #lounge I'll be installing a web based client (probably within the next 24 hours)

And I'm in. IRC can be a little confusing though but if you're looking for a desktop client I'd suggest Hex chat perhaps? It's really easy to setup and use but maybe someone who is more tech informed could offer a better client etc. Either way I can help anyone with setting that up if needed.

I'll try to figure it out when I get back, in any case. It's been a few years since I used IRC last time.

Unrelated question:I can't seem to get an invite for slackchat for some odd reason or do I need to make the account externally and link it to the forum to make it work? otherwise I'll just IRC then, but that won't happen any time since I'm limited in HD space

I'm on my phone so I won't link you to the Discord thread, but I'm sure you could find it by searching through Lewd's posts with Discord as a key word! Discord is very similar to Slack.

From what I understand, you'll have to private message the administrator to get in. It seems a bit silly to have everything go through one person, but hey, time will tell how being adamant pays off, right?

I would like to request that we have a channel on IRCHighway instead.

They have a lot of scanlator groups that have IRC channels, which is directly relevant to the interests of the majority of our members.

It bothers me that they don't give a ssl fingerprint, maybe I'm missing something, but how am I supposed to validate an ssl connection to an irc server if the fingerprint is nowhere to be found.

Lewd's original irc server still didn't have SSL enabled, period, so ANY ssl is better than what we had.

Both Rizon and DareNet do show method of verifying the ssl connection and I really don't see the point of using ssl otherwise. I should probably just contact them.
