Quote system doesn't notify

None_At_All

Pretty much that. If I get a post number (say, 21171), and quote it, the person doesn't get notified. At least I don't.

21171

Also, do you think it would be possible to implement a quote system similar to pururin? I'm not joking, it's good iirc.
You click the >>number link and it takes you to the post, highlighting it in green without reloading the page.

Would it be possible to have quote links that when clicked take you to that post and maybe gives it a white edge without refreshng if it's on the same page?

Clare

yep, the citations (>>number things) will be fixed soon-ish.

I'm sort of considering just leaving them until Ecchi is finished.

Mew

Ecchi?

it'll be finished eventually c:

Figured it would be new BBS software, but was kinda hoping it would be written in something other than PHP =/

PHP is love, PHP is life.

Please retain the old quote system as well. I simply cannot stand the new quotes in any way shape or form, as any nesting makes it nearly impossible to tell what order to read the content in and to see what is replying to what.
In short, please keep quote tags and simply restyle them or something if you don't like them, but don't remove them entirely.

Eros

Up vote for this suggestion.

I keep getting quoted/replied to one of my posts but I receive no notification about it making it kinda hard to keep up a discussion.

I've noticed this as I checked on some threads I had replied and noticed being quote but not receiving alerts for these.

This will most likely get fixed along with the changes Senpai will be implementing
at some point in the near future. 🙂

Hope it happens relatively soon.

It's really improve the experience in the forums

Some major changes are happening. With the changes, quoting will likely be irrelevant.

How else will I get my senpai's attention? 🙁

Reply does not give an alert, only quoting, right?

@Senpai is a poopy head. :3

The quote tags that are generated by clicking reply are the only quotes worth using, to be honest.
