So yesterday I was listening to one of my podcasts (Trinity Force Podcast), and the latest episode featured a free software tool called Plays.tv. It's a recording tool/social media network that takes very little toll on your hardware resources to run, and records everything happening in your game, and ONLY in your game. Meaning it detects the game you are playing automatically from start to finish, and nothing else that might be going on in the background. (like those exhentai breaks in between 😛) It also has some really cool self editing features for League of Legends (which is pretty much what it was made for, but it should work for any game) like detecting when you score kills or assists or take an objective, so it highlights all the best parts of the game for you. The video files are stored locally on your PC but you can also upload the content for free to wherever you choose. (the plays.tv website, facebook, youtube, reddit, etc.) By default it sets the storage cap to 10GB on your PC, and deletes old videos as you keep making new ones by playing. It's a stupidly easy tool to use that doesn't cost you anything, so I am really liking it so far. I haven't played that much since I've got it so I don't have any cool videos to show off, but I plan to use it primarily for watching replays of my games for the purpose of reviewing to self improve. 17147 Sry m8. I'm sticking with OBS for life. I checked out that one, it looks like it would be good for streaming and/or recording with my mic input but I don't really have any interest in doing that. The main reason I'm using Plays.tv is because it's entirely automated, I literally just start the program and play my game and all the recording happens by itself. If something happens that I want to keep, then I'll copy or upload the video afterwards. Otherwise the old content just gets overwritten after about 2 more hours of footage eventually gets recorded 17150 What a nice read. <3 Sounds interesting. Software seems a lot like what I use already (dxtory). It has all the detection features and stuff but no matter what I do the filesize is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge
