Most of the songs I've heard that I consider beautiful are instrumental songs; lyrics add something but also take something away for me, and I'm not sure how to describe it.

There are only a few songs with vocaloid i like. None a lot of you would know
just can't stand the sound of it

I don't know about "most beautiful song ever," but there is one little indie Japanese album I discovered on another forum that moved me to tears the first time I heard it. The whole album is just amazing. All it is, is a one girl and her acoustic guitar, with very echo-y, dreamy vocals.
Here, listen to this live sample:

As soon as I heard this I new I needed to buy her album:

It's great to put on when I'm stressed and tired and maybe need some sleep, it always calms me down, like a magic spell it works every time.

You are very welcome Lokorfi. I recommend purchasing the album from the link I provided, there are other really great songs in there, and some nice effects on her vocals instead of the raw, live recording sound in that video.
I really love this song:
It just gets me every time, the dynamics, the emotion. The massive buildup to that amazing solo.
People often think its run time of 10 minutes is really long. Whilst for me, it's never long enough.
Not sure if many will agree, but

This entire album is great, I love it, but there also plenty more answers to chose from.

This reminds me so much of ebb & flow from the Nagi no Asukara OST.

I couldn't decide if my life depended on it, but this one would definitely be up there.
There's something innately inspiring about this particular piece. Listening to it again and again, I can't help but be transported to a different world; an era of bold adventurers and infinite potential for discovery. I honestly don't give much thought to spirituality, but if reincarnation were real, it would be my heart's desire to be born into such a time.

What I think I like the most about Largo is how many different emotions are at play throughout the whole thing. The bit at 0:44 is what I'd guess sticks the most when people listen to it for the first time. I've yet to really hear anything else quite like it. Across all my games of Civ IV few things were ever as refreshing as hearing this play since it'd signal that my favorite era had begun. Firaxis couldn't have picked a better song to play during the Industrial Age.
