Also using nm-applet (NetworkManager), VolumeIcon, and Xfce4-power-manager for my systray icons. Clock is in tint2, so no need for systray icons or applets. The destkop I hardly see most of the time, so that's why I left it empty. And I can't manage icons, they just clutter my desktop and then I can't be asked to clean it up.

Thinking of changing my setup after so long, still using Arch and dwm as window manager. Anyone would like to recommend a distro or WM (preferably tiling)? I feel like I'll still stick to Arch, but I might change to i3 or bspwm. Thoughts?

Well depend on for which purpose you gonna use
internet in my country is too slow like 70kb downloading speed
If i install arch or ubuntu and install all the tools/script i need it's gonna take 3-4 days because of slow internet speed
So i preffer a distro which have some pre installed tools/scripts to save my time also bbox is not that bad like kali linux which have more bugs then tools

Well, if you ever want to try a new OS and still keep all of your 'pre-installed' tools then you could always consider katoolin.py instead.
It automatically downloads and installs all Kali Linux tools at once.

So I still decided to stick with Arch after a fresh install, but using herbstluftwm as tiling window manager now. I find it even better than dwm, I should have tried i3 before to get a feel of manual tiling window managers.

Tried BSPWM before? It requires less configuration than i3 and AwesomeWM. The only thing I'm not too sure about is how it functions compared to DWM or HerbstluftWM, etc. since I haven't used those.

$ sudo pacman -S bspwm sxhkd

For some sort of top bar/dock/thingo you could use anything you like. Tint2 is an easy route to go, and is reliable especially for systrays, but the harder (and in my opinion more fun route) is lemonbar (especially with XFT support, thing is demonic without).
