I actually bake a LOT. What kind of cookies are these? Did you follow a recipe? Baking should always turn out properly if you follow a recipe. It's when you experiment that disaster strikes. If you master cookies and want a bigger challenge, try baking banana bread. It's the only thing I've discovered where the recipes ALL have to be modified (except mine ;D ).
Anyway, baking is an art. Easy to learn, difficult to master. Keep it up! You can do it!
