errrr, wrong. On my genuine 8.1 system I have absolutely no icon on my taskbar, and yet on my sister's pirated 8.1 system this icon does exist. Fuck me, right?

To summarize, no I didn't upgrade, and neither do I intend to until they show how good the system really is.

Hmm. You have several strong points there. I mean all the extra "xbox shit" is just plain idiotic. I mean who cares about playing xbox via windows 10. I just like it because of the new slick design. Also that new browser is fast. Either way I am sticking to chrome.

I will be upgrading one of my Win 7 PCs. I need to know how to navigate the OS because I do tech support for dumb poeple, many of whom will blindly upgrade without the slightest fucking clue as to what they are doing.... August should be a ~~terrible~~ mega fun month

Apparently something like a monthly subscription, or like $10 a year.

Oh, while I'm at it. If somebody decides to upgrade, can you message me how did the process go? I'm quite interested whether it's a clean installation of a new OS requiring you to format your disk or an upgrade process like 8 > 8.1, which keeps everything you owned.

Triumph is going to be upgrading soon. Might wanna check with him maybe next week or something or maybe get him to notify you when he does.

I've never told anyone but I had the "beta" access to windows 10. I just got done updating to the final one and it works good... All my files on Win 7 transfered over along with the programs and other stuff I had in other places.

Yeah from what I heard you can downgrade within 30 days if you don't like it. Also it keeps all of your installed files into your "windows.old" folder.

Did it actually make the Windows.old folder for you? For me it just replaced my OS files and kept all of my user data intact. Which version did you come from?
