Whats your mood?

Great mood today, sun is bright outside and I can see no clouds! I'm a bit tired because I read up too late yesterday, I like reading too much and chinese novels really know how to grab your attention. Been reading Emperor's Domination lately, good way to escape reality.
Also my parcels never ever, postal services are fucked up these days.

Granted~, first round's just a prelim, and getting poked in the face by three dozen needles is a bit of a pain, but I'm still pretty excited. Wish me luck, 'kay? ^~^

Pretty interesting stuff, I knew about how needles could be used to help temporarily with blood pressure but didn't know it could help with other kind of migraines! Hope you get better soon!

Quote:Acupuncture can help in the treatment of migraine by:
    • Providing pain relief - by stimulating nerves located in muscles and other tissues, acupuncture leads to release of endorphins and other neurochumoral factors and changes the processing of pain in the brain and spinal cord (Zhao 2008, Zijlstra 2003, Pomeranz, 1987).
    • Reducing inflammation - by promoting release of vascular and immunomodulatory factors (Kim 2008, Kavoussi 2007, Zijlstra 2003).
    • Reducing the degree of cortical spreading depression (an electrical wave in the brain associated with migraine) and plasma  levels of calcitonin gene-related peptide and substance P (both implicated in the pathophysiology of migraine) (Shi 2010).
    • Modulating extracranial and intracranial blood flow (Park 2009).
    • Affecting serotonin (5-hydroxytriptamine) levels in the brain (Zhong 2007). (Serotonin may be linked to the initiation of migraines; 5-HT agonists (triptans) are used against acute attacks.)

Yeah, the weather really is amazing ^~^ Makes me want to live in the Bahamas or something.

Deliveries seem to have been mostly fine for me. Maybe took one day longer than usual for first class mail to arrive, but other than that there doesn't seem to have been much change over here.

I also don't think it's acupuncture that Backy was going for, but botox injections, which apparently can also work ^_^

You're tough! I don't hink I could handle the heat in the bahamas, I already hide between 12 and 16 lol.

The service here is generally bad I think, with shit tracking, and these days I also got more parcels intercepted by customs. Maybe I just got bad luck though.

12-16? Pfft, that's coat-2nd layer weather for me! I generally avoid going outside until May ^_^'

I may have been a little hasty praising deliveries here. Replacement car mirror was meant to arrive yesterday at the latest :|

I can see where it's coming from lol. I meant times, 12:00 to 16:00 or 12am to 4pm, when the sun is the highest! You are right in that 12°C is a bit chilly, I find 16°C comfortable and up to 20-22°C. Nowadays it goes to 25-28°C here which is quite a lot for me!
If your speaking Farenheit though I admit 12°F must be reallyyy cold.

Hope you get your mirror soon. Did you get into an accident?

Oh lol, right, that makes more sense :P 25C is quite toasty, yes, but as long as I don't have to do anything strenuous, I don't mind it~ I'm definitely not talking in Fahrenheit - I have no concept of that scale.

And yes, the mirror actually arrived a couple of hours after my post ^_^' *Technically* it was an accident... I held the hot air dryer thing pointed at the mirror for too long, and the glass itself came unstuck and shattered. £8.50 fix.

    Good, me neither!

It's actually nice that you received it, pretty sure in most places you can't drive with a broken mirror, and it wouldn't be safe anyway. Enjoy driving!

Yeah, it wouldn't be legal here either, but I've done it before when someone broke off my other mirror (by hand >.>). There isn't a lot of police on the roads here.

Oh not me. I'm hoping these protests inspire change is all. I feel like we can't nor should we go back to the normal we were feeling before George Floyd.

Sensitive Content Wrote:Yeah... God. It's chilling to think that this is the nightmare we live in. First I saw Nat'l Guard and Police marching through a neighborhood and just shooting people watching them from their porches. Next there was a clip on Twitter of a harmless guy getting pepper sprayed, then shot in the face at point-blank with a tear gas grenade. Probably knocked a bunch of teeth out. But then... Fucking hell, just now I saw a clip of a grandmother (black, obviously), who was unfortunate enough to have a tear gas grenade embedded in her skull. Half her cranium had caved in, like a bowl of gore. It was FUCKED. UP. man, like shit you'd see in war zones halfway across the world. What the hell is happening here, man?! Fuck!

As you can tell, I'm barely holding it together. After my mom lost her job, I'm the only one supporting our family. But since the economy's in shambles, I've made sure to give one-hundred-ten percent at work every day to make sure I don't get the axe. Almost makes you forget there's a global pandemic going on, right? Heheheh. It's funny, someone asked me how the quarantine was treating me, to which I replied, "Well, you know how in SEL, a certain character collects computing machines in her room and slowly drifts into insanity? Pretty much that."

Anyways, thanks for giving me a chance to vent. Take care out there, Loko-san. We're all in this together.

You know, I feel a lot better after putting my thoughts to paper last night. I'm sorry for anyone who witnessed that; I think I'll keep a journal from now on.

Now, then. This day will never come again. Let's all make the most of it, okay? ^_^

If I had to guess? Probably fatigued from the prevailing news cycle~. So much bad stuff keeps happening, that it's easy to get swept up in current. I even talked to my therapist about it.

Stay strong, Laifot-chan. Things will get better soon, I promise. Do you think it would help to cut down on how much time you read about news? ^_^
