Get this, right? So I'm driving to the pharmacy about a month or so back - bear in mind I lived in the ghetto, so I'm accustomed to the occasional oddity. Anyhoo, I'm stuck in line for a traffic light when I hear these kickass speakers comin'  up on my left blasting rap music.

Initially I thought someone was tryna cut; maybe having a bad day and all? Naw, instead I see this 60-year-old black dude on a motorized chair comin' up the sidewalk, bags slung under the armrests, with this giant rear-facing boombox right under his seat. And I'm just sittin' there like "Oh. My. God. That's awesome."

Coincidentally, I saw the same dude two years back, going the wrong way up a one-way street while blasting Wu-Tang Clan. The gal in front of me turned around and said "Shoulda gotten that Snap, doe!", which pretty much made my day.

They were both easily two of the most remarkable and memorable moments of my college career. Regardless of how tough this past semester was, I'm glad I got to see him one more time. ^^

I've always had a habit of envisioning myself in social situations when I'm bored, be it by placing myself at some high-class swing dance club, or imagining conversations between me and the characters from anime I've watched. Today, after reading another chapter of The Life-Changing Manga of Tidying Up (wherein one Chiaki Suzuki asks a "cleaning expert" to help her with her apartment), this little exchange occurred while folding my boxers:

Me: "Which one's the front... Hm, guess it doesn't matter. But, for posterior's sake, I wanna do it the right way!" (`・ω・)9
    KonMari: "Don't you mean posterity's sake?" (^▽^´)

So, what weird stuff has happened to you lately?

wtf. What kind of articles do you write? also this might be due to jealousy?

One thing that stuck out the most, was a box for PowerPuff Girls-themed children's sneakers stowed on a shelf near their current experiment. The sneakers were gone; it was filled with a buncha old papers; but its pristine condition hinted at a particular sentimental value in the presence of that little box.

Went out to the local big-box for somethin'; turns out they've got little webcams in the self-checkout lines, and let you know by providing a live video feed on a tiny screen mounted in front of you. Now I don't appreciate being watched, but the camera was of astonishingly good quality, so I'd go on to spend the better part of five minutes checking myself out and making funny faces.

There was a cashier gal watching the lines as I was doing this. I didn't get a good look at her, but I can only hope she'll tell her friends about it later.

Corsair stopped responding to my messages, didn't even acknowledge that they received my broken PSU.
Today, a new PSU arrived out of the blue.

The guy sitting a row ahead of me in the testing room was wearing a full-camo suit, complete with synthetic leaves. He seemed pretty laidback.

Coming home I got into a tight traincar and was face to face with my best friend and my ex. I flipped. Was simultaneously happy to see him but nervous to see her. I chatted him up a bit then we sorta waited in silence. They were talking but I surprised them. Train doors open and I decide I have to leave. Thought I'd break the ice so I said, "There's a pottery event I'm going to, nice seeing you dude". Later he told me it worked and laughed about it all. Never thought I'd run into an ex again.

'Kay, so. Couple of things I learned about my co-workers today. The one's a foulmouthed Polish-American lady in her late fifties/early sixties. After cursing out my boss for the new Linux OS he's forcing us to use, she casually revealed that her mom makes her meals for her. What's more, she absolutely can't stand spinach or kale in her soups, dislikes carrots, and will only eat potatoes if they're pureed. Meanwhile her father won't eat it if it's pureed, therefore necessitating that her mom make two batches.

Meanwhile the other gal, a happily married-type in her mid forties, can't cook! So instead she brings home premade meals from Wegman's and says to her husband that she made it herself. And he actually buys it! Aw, but you wanna know the kicker though? Her husband works for the Department of Defense. Your tax dollars at work, ladies and gents! :D

They're both super-cool in their own ways though, so I don't mind. :3

I didn't ask my family for a giant 4K TV the other day, but they brought it in anyway and it can even talk! The FPS is double than that of the 1080 HD, and I called it "The Family-Sized TV."

My lucidity also just started to come back at me without even me realizing it! A big surge of creativity that can rival even the world's geniuses just came to me very hard after a long rest. With time and patience, I can definitely start taking lucid dreaming seriously again.

As it turns out, I still haven't lost my knack for finding unique things in the world around me. Today, as I was taking a walk in the park, I stumbled across a monster truck tire someone had left deep in the woods. The rubber was cracked and faded, and the dead leaves and branches intimated to me that it'd been there since at least yesteryear. But the dirt path behind me was barely wide enough to accommodate a baby carriage, or perhaps a trio of bicycles, and it laid nearly a half-hour's walk from the beginning of the trail. I have no idea who might've left the tire here, though I can only imagine they did it in pursuit of personal happiness.

    Good for them. c:
