I rewatched the original godzilla movie (Japanese version), gotta love monster movies.

Watched The Intern, which came out this Friday I believe. Very interesting concept of the senior intern and perspective on business and family.

I watched Lost In Translation the other day.
    Really good movie.

Probably Mad Max or Ted 2 (it was pretty lousy), aside from the documentary I saw yesterday named "Divorce Corp.".
  • SushiFeelings 09-27-2015, 11:53 PM
I watched Antman with a few friends it was meh, funny at times but seemed lackluster.

I recently saw Straight Outta Compton and damn, that shit was dope. It's a well made movie, however Ice Cube and Dre definitely whitewashed (blackwashed?) their less family friendly history.

Finished Dallas Buyers Club yesterday and really enjoyed that. So many films on my watchlist.

I know that feel. Dallas Buyers Club just made it even longer.

The last film I saw in theaters was Interstellar, and I loved it.  It was far from being a perfect movie, there was way too much 'plot convenience' in the first third of the movie, but the rest was awesome and I highly recommend it.  I intentionally avoided the RLM review of it until I saw it because I didn't want any spoilers.

Would highly recommend if you're into more realistic drama type stuff. Just finished watching Wolf of Wall St today, didn't enjoy that as much as DBC, don't know what to watch next. Too many films coming out all the time, I'll never get through them all. The Act Of Killing is next on my list if I can get it.

Double posting here but just finished watching 'Eternal Summer of the Spotless Mind' and really enjoyed it! It's a drama-esque film with a good amount of romance some more interesting concepts with memory erasion and also asks some pretty pyhcological questions.

Gyakufunsha kazoku by Sogo Ishi (1984)

Dark comedy allegoric for japanese society(?), it's about a father who moves into a new home with his family, and starts noticing weird things about them
they're all crazy

so he decides to cover the home's windows and entrances, and poison everybody as a last resort therapy. This brings the crazy out of all, and after a semi-battle royale, that's as morbid as it is humorous an explosion stops the onslaught.

they all wake up in a house destroyed by fighting, mother prepares breakfast as if nothing happened, then the father is enlightened and starts destroying the house. Blaming everything on it. The remaining family joins in joyfully. Ending scene is everybody living harmoniously on the street, and hinting at them building a new house
Caught The Act of Killing a day or so ago, definitely an amazing documentary, directors cut is a little long but yeah, great stuff.

I remember I saw the first one and it wasn't as bad as I expected but the Tumblr ads for HT2 have killed any desire to watch it I ever had. However it'd probably be a good snuggle movie.

It's similar to twitter ads, as in they show up between posts sometimes as if they were legitimate. They're pretty annoying.

The Visit, cheap scares and poor plot.
