What code editors do you use/like, and why?

Web Code: Atom <http://atom.io>. It's a free/open source code editor by GitHub, and it's really good for web editing imo.
    Non-Web: I don't do much non-web coding, so yeah. :P

Sublime: Recommended to me by Yagmi (@smug)
Notepad++: Used this for who knows how long

I like http://codepen.io for web coding because I can see the changes happen in real time and the css and html documents are on the same page without changing tabs, plus it looks nice and you can also share it easily and others can edit it.

You can get dreamweaver for a month for free. Or use other methods.
It works the same as codepen basically.

PHP Storm, for you know PHP

    Notepad++ for everything else
  • Hika 03-26-2016, 03:04 PM
Is PHPStorm available for Linux (I assume it is, being PHP)? If so, I may try it.

Notepad++ is amazing for JS imo.

    Dreamweaver ew

When I was practicing with web stuff I used Sublime.
For interpreted languages I tend to use Notepad++ (or Sublime)
Otherwise, I use Visual Studio or Eclipse because I'm a loser who needs an IDE

The Python thingy, but I don't do much coding anyway.

Notepad++ for coding when i'm at work (using VB and SQL querys)

for coding at home i use atom by github. i'm currently developing a chess server which i might open by the end of the year.

I like that is extremely customizable and has nice snippets. I recommend it.

It mostly has to do with pentesting; I don't know the first shit about SQL. Well, I know DROP, but that's the extent of my knowledge. I'll drop a PM some time when a question/situation comes up :3

Interesting, pentesting is always a challenge even though a lot of programs exist to help you with your assessments. Is your dbserver on a Virtual Machine?
