Blizzard/Activation are bad. Luckily they are now considered the worst game company maybe Bethesda image will get better now :D

Seems like so many people forgot about this already.

Not enough people cared in the first place

As soon as Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 were announced and the CEO guy issued that shitty non-apology, everyone seems to have lapped it up and went back to business-as-usual.

I saw a photo of a Chinese political prisoner in one of their nation's concentration camps. Dude looked like a skeleton, but the knowledge that he was still alive made it infinitely worse. Can't believe people are more worried about building some giant wall across the southern border.

To be fair, I don't think anyone should have been expecting this to seriously affect anything. Blizzdrones will drone as usual and Honk Kong's fate has been sealed since the British gave it to the PRC in 1997 IMO. Recognizing the PRC as legitimate was a fucking mistake.

Just a question. Personally i think that Blizzard is only a little worse than any other company operating in China right now. Do you do anything to limit your consumption of Chinese things? You can just assume all Chinese companies are PRC supporters, and companies that operate in China are mostly PRC apologists. It's difficult since they have a stranglehold on so much production and are invested in so much "American" media.

That's kind of an impossibility right now, IMO. Eastern Asia is such an integral link in global trade (Labor laws, what are those?), you'd be hard-pressed to find anything that isn't sourced from overseas. At best, perhaps your computers and cars.

Computers without Chinese parts? Not a chance. Not even the fancy parts with Japanese components.

The only thing I'm sure of is that you are able to get a processor not made in China. For the motherboards and everything else, I don't know. But Intel only has 1 manufacturing facility in China, and AMD processors are made by TSMC, who only has 1 location in China, but the processors are made at their facilities in Taiwan. So you can be pretty confident that your processor doesn't come from China.

I'm betting cars have parts sourced from China, with all of the electronics in them. Cars with Qualcomm chips like Audi will not be made in China, but Korea. But it's difficult to find a comprehensive list of all the parts in a car and where they came from. You can be sure that higher end vehicles will have less things from China.

Honestly, I really think that there are a lot of things where you have the opportunity to avoid it being Chinese-made. Clothes being the prime example. Cheap clothing is made in Honduras, Vietnam, and Cambodia and some of your clothes are probably made in those countries. I buy mainly second hand stuff anyway so it doesn't matter that much.

For the future, I do plan on limiting my consumption of Chinese goods and services out of my moral considerations. I think the world needs to realize that we can't rely on China for everything. China is a neo colonizer, sorry if i sounded a little propagandist.
