I'm a little too old for cakes, they don't do any more candle stuff, so I figure that all I'm getting now is new PC games that would do well on my new RTX card to compensate for not going to any stores.

I now gotta find a new place to diversify my presence, this place is getting nowhere active with only around half a dozen people, some days even no one, and when I do find it, I'll let everyone know.

It's a game dev server. Problem is that it's been the target of a few raids lately due to a surge of interest in the game

I presume it's a game that's in beta/early access before final release. Think Minecraft back in the early days. Based off the context, it probably runs the nightly builds of the code.

My mouse's wheel button stopped working yesterday. Luckily KDE has a setting where I can press the left and right mouse buttons simultaneously to output a middle mouse button click, so I have been using that instead.
In the beginning I kept messing up and right-clicking or left-clicking when I wanted to do a middle-click, but I think can do it somewhat reliably now.
This setup is even slightly more convenient now that I no longer have to move my finger away from a button when I want to middle-click ^^

You probably know already but 4chan /diy/ has a general dedicated to 3D printing and they are fairly helpful. Didn't get a printer myself, I lurk from time to time.
The Ender 3 Pro is fairly recommended and it's a relatively cheap entry point for a printer (at around 250 USD) so it shouldn't set you and your cousin back too much. There's also lots of resources about calibration etc as it is popular.

On another note, it's way too hot these days and the heavy wearther makes it worse. Had to put some mulching so my plants don't dry up too quick.

Bruh, do you have any idea how cheap 3D printers are compared to pretty much any other sort of 3D modelling hardware?

It needs a bit of a clean, but it seems to work well! I think there's some interference issue with our TV, but I suppose that's not the radio's fault. I'll have to check that out later. I did manage to pick up someone reading what I assume is the Qur'an though. No idea where from, of course, but the it's exciting nonetheless~

I almost found myself a suitable planet I can call home again, but ended up with the wrong name being a slight typo for the Japanese southern island of Kyushu named New Kyusha, a large toxic world of low intensity with plenty of depression marks and high mountains that always rains non-stop. I was on a nexus mission to find a series of portal glyphs that would lead me closer to a dangerous exotic world that looks like purple grass and some watery lakes, dangerous fog (could be a rainstorm possibility), and extremely vigilant Sentinel drones due to so many Gravitino balls lying around. The text box on the bottom right warns me that the destination is highly unstable and could change at a moment's notice. Already ran out of launch fuel, I didn't have time to go refuel it so I hightail towards the disturbance on foot with angry Sentinels after me at every corner. They don't know how to hover over water as they hate water, but they can spawn right next to me every minute they looked away and scan my face before beginning to attack.

Unfortunately, the chase didn't last forever, eventually a storm have to come and trying to hide in cover only to end up in an underwater cave. Despite having access to some oxygen capsules on hand, I lack the proper timing to pull one off to restore my oxygen gauge, and instead of letting myself succumb to the depths of some cave on the way to a high-risk target, I have to reload, restart the job from the safety of the Anomaly, get another three glyphs (as I already known a bit of the same planet), and then proceed to the portal downwind. Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, the game can't take it anymore and decide to crash and auto-close my console before I do anything when I'm already one-third through the second attempt. And again, since I have only one take to do it, I presume that I already failed the job. The job description is to investigate disturbances of reality from a local system and try to look for answers using portal glyphs found from reading Knowledge Stones, the same stones placed to give me a tiny bit of translated words from the local system's dominant race. If I die for any reason, the game disconnects or crashes, letting the time run out, or reloading the game, the mission fails and I'll be yanked back to safety along with my ship as if nothing has taken place there, save for whatever exploration knowledge already done and inventory exchanges.

I highly yearn myself to try again that job, I still got a bit of time left for this weekend and I seem to be getting closer to finding a very lush planet that resembles Eden right before its downfall according to the the first half of my best friend's nation's motto: "Cast out of Eden". So far, I only ran into some acidic, mostly dead, and few hot planets.

Well, the illuminati does really exist!

    >Historically, the name usually refers to the Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on 1 May 1776 in Bavaria, today part of Germany. The society's goals were to oppose superstition, obscurantism, religious influence over public life, and abuses of state power. "The order of the day," they wrote in their general statutes, "is to put an end to the machinations of the purveyors of injustice, to control them without dominating them."

It was rather faint, but it was just with the internal antenna. No doubt it would have been much clearer, if not straight up good, with an external antenna.

I was almost finding it, but a thunderstorm came to my area and have to wait for the skies to break or stay overcast. Anyways, I came back into the Anomaly and find another job that is about dangerous flora activity that just killed a random poor sap of my race and being sent straight away to what appears to be exactly Planet Suria, the ringed world that fits the exact description in color from space already taken over by nature in a very weird way. The sky is in eternal twilight and red upon closing in, resembling a Scarlet Rhapsody incident and the rain becoming electrified to no actual effect. I was absolutely correct that the star system contains activated Indium, meaning I'm in a rare blue system despite not having the correct hyperdrive tech for an automatic forced warp. I manage to land near some huge crashed look-alike battleship. There aren't that many creatures roaming around, the grass was supposed to be dark green but instead it too turned a dark purple. I'm thankful that I don't get chased, but the constant superheated rain became a quick annoyance once more. It seems the game perfectly generated my latest planet that fits my imagination in a one of a thousand combination chance. The only difference is that the system now has more planets than it supposedly had, so I ignored the rest.

Determined to see what really went down in Suria, the last of the Lucian race's voyage through space, I found the remains of one of my dead Travellers near a cluster of L-shaped thorny-like trees in a depression, a cat-like dude resembling the one from the Pink Panther. He told me that some common Venusian fly trap killed him when he was trying to yank some Oxygen seeds, before going static. I was then informed that I have to go knock off eleven of any hazardous flora, not just fly traps. It took me a while, then a real-life storm came near me about halfway through and I have to rush through that mission just to get back to the Nexus on-time. Instead of taking me back to the system that isn't a blue rare star, I decided to keep pushing on to the closest Atlas station when I get a chance. The trail is now getting warmer in the Euclid galaxy, and I'm coming close. I am now confirmed that Suria is more or less destroyed by anomalous weather conditions. There is no sign of any Lucian lifeforms now, just myself.

What a terrible past two weeks.
  • LucianDreamer 07-08-2020, 11:25 PM
I'll give Sigizi_Studios a few more weeks or so to finish up their full-body adaptation of their procedural generation code, but as soon as they're up and announced on their Twitter, I'll happily restart the CTF tournament thread again by purging it and then renewing, but it won't be the same countries due to a random die roll for spitting out country teams. Though the A.I. that makes the new generation of waifus can still screw up on the avatars even if at least one portion of their anatomy is perfectly fine, that doesn't stop itself from trying to get a better drawing result. By then, I would no longer mention popular art sites ever again as guidance since we can generate our own with the A.I.'s help, all done in under a minute or two on average. The same elimination rules and flow of gameplay still apply. I can't be sure if it will pick up some activity, but it might do better on NationStates, if I can make a cautionary opening post to advise them on proper waifu generation selection due to being PG-13 and all. Sometimes, the A.I. ends up making a waifu that is more leaning into R-18 territory, especially their breast sections.

Once again, the CTF Tournament takes place in a non-canon, peacetime environment without pandemics or other humanitarian crises, and thanks to a minor update on darker skin tones that are less likely tending to look more evil the darker your generated waifu gets and are better detailed to a degree, it will carry over to their full-body update. Meaning this time around when it goes live I won't be picky in having a random die roll choosing countries situating around the equator or with a dominant dark tone such as Egypt, Indonesia, Brazil, South Africa, etc., the 12-team cap won't ever change, but it will feel like a different generated season. Maybe there is a chance it could bring back a country from the original season, but it will be very slim, given there are about 200+ countries in total, not counting unofficial ones.
