    yeah, i got lucky there. some of my cuts are so bad though lol. i've tested everything and it seems to be working though, so all's well that ends well!

    Cool! I've thought about building one in the past, but I didn't have the soldering tools back then. What switches did you go with?

    Right now I'm going with some Unholy Bobas i bought off mechmarket, but I should have some stabs and switches from thekeycompany's dark magic girl drop to ship around March at the earliest. Linear switch gang! I took the extra effort of soldering 0305 mill-max sockets to the keyboard so that I can hotswap with some switches I have laying around.

    i cant wait till the new software is ready. i saw what it looked like and i believe with it Lewd will be active more. it would seem less of a thread and more of a community and lewd is a community i want to be apart.

    and also another good idea to release the new lewd.sx version as a beta to test out. i would gladly volunteer to be a beta tester. sometimes its best to release a beta before releasing the whole thing blindly. releasing it blindly can cause shit to happen that could possibly ruin lewd which would be very terrible indeed.

    I've noticed that this is also a thing with Discourse and Reddit

    I saw that snbforums had a notice up that said a similar thing. They are limiting threads to 500 posts after six months. If the new lewd.sx software is going to display all the replies on one page this makes sense.

    I'm sure Clickbait has it under control. I've never worked with forum software, but I would imagine there is a way to backup current lewd and redeploy it if there is a catastrophic failure. There could also be issues with running the old and new software in parallel, in which case the only way to test would be in a temporary instance.

    it should handle threads around the size of this one alright, but much bigger and it'd cause performance issues. essentially to make future posts quicker it loads all of the threads posts into an array, which can be slow af when dealing with thousands of posts.

    i think closing them off when they get large is a minor inconvenience.
