Just a thing I wrote that gets the password for the current website from masterpassword-cli, and writes it to the active text entry field in qutebrowser.

    https://gitgud.io/maciozo/masterpassword...utebrowser

Hopefully will be helpful to anyone who uses both these programs :)

using pass and firefox here, but that's pretty neat!

how does qutebrowser work for addons, though? looks like that's something in python?

have wanted to try it as a browser for a long while now, but the lack of a rikai-like is kind of a big barrier still...
maybe one like that could be made somehow though? connecting with system mecab or so

I'm pretty sure it doesn't support plugins like Firefox or Chromium do. I'm actually not sure exactly how extensible qutebrowser is - this script was my first time working with it. I imagine you could probably get quite a lot done with userscripts and greasemonkey scripts.

    ah, mmm...

that's a big road-block to using it maybe. might have to try to make it work at some point anyways, though; firefox is getting more difficult every day...

ah, just have always used vim things, which is the draw for qutebrowser, something where that interface is first-class. pentadactyl was great, but with new firefox tridactyl crashes or hangs on bigger/dynamic pages and can't do search well because the js is just too slow, and there are also lots of integration issues because of sandboxing...
