Here is the 20th issue of the Lewd News, written by the Writers group.

Sorry it's a little late again. People were busy again. Actually no, something else happened since this week's pieces were right on time.

[header]Senpai has taken a break from Lewd.
While nobody knows for how long exactly will he be gone, it's estimated our leader will be back within a week. Until then, follow all questions to the actively moderating staff.[/header]

[block]Hey Lewders! So this week I have something kinda sad to share. A man was playing Fallout 4 in his home -- No! that's not the sad part! Fallout 4 is an awesome game! --Anyway, while he was playing a car smashed through his wall and hit him. The man's name is Ben. The accident caused him spinal injuries as well as many other things. The woman who was driving was not insured, not arrested, only cited for a traffic violation. Ben is now forced to pay out of pocket for his medical bills while fuck all happens to the perpetrator of this incident. Fortunartely, a GoFundMe was set up and it seems that Ben's medical expenses have already been covered by generous donators. If you wanna check it out, here is the link: GoFundMe  More on the story here: CBS News

Now for some odd news.... (thanks for the heads up @Mis ) Disgaea is finally coming to Steam! No, not the newer ones, but the PS2 original version. Not really sure what prompted them to put a 10 year old game up for re-release without being a remaster, but I hear it's a great game, so why not?  It'll be released in February 2016, the exact month of its 10 year anniversary. We've recently been seeing a bunch of JRPG-types hitting Steam lately. If the trend continues and we can get some of those out of print classics back, I'm all for it.

It's time for you to start watching what you haven't yet. Because, you know, the final episodes are starting to drop like bombs. One Punch Man, Asterisk War, Comet Lucifer, The Perfect Insider... and that's just a few of the titles that already finished airing. The 13 episode long series will be finishing sometime next week, so stay tuned!

I've been waiting for a long time for a shounen that stays true to its name. After these long years, I finally got it. Kekkai Sensen, or Blood Blockade Battlefront, had some issues with popularity - they put the last episode off until the interest was at peak again - but overall, does a pretty great job presenting the story. The characters get gradually introduced with each episode, that's loosely tied to the previous one, the action is nearly never 100% serious, and yet everything is tied well and logically together. It's quite far from a masterpiece, I admit, and there are some problems on my part with the potential romance backstory that never came to be, but overall, it's a nice story, with a nice conclusion, and a potential for the next season - which can but doesn't have to happen, so bonus points for that. Additionally, the opening by Bump of Chicken is brilliant, and the ending leaves you in good mood, so there's that. Just get to watching, I guess.[/block]

    Issue #17: Fifty Grand - Helena's Skin

Fifty Grand released a collection of compositions roughly two weeks ago in his newest album 'Helena's Skin'. This album is far different than the norm from this aspiring producer, focusing more on musical structure than low end heavy beats. Although different in structure, we still get the terrifying tones expected from one of his creations. I highly reccomend you go check out this album, it's definitely a game changer.

AMD AM4 Motherboards Spotted in Shipping

overclock3d.net Wrote:AMD AM4 Motherboards Spotted in Shipping, confirming DDR4 support and the availability of both CPU and APU AM4 products.

Right now it looks like the products that are in shipping will be part of AMD's Bristol Ridge Family of CPUs and APUs, with will both be used on AMD's upcoming AM4 socket with DDR4 memory. The shipping details confirm that the motherboard will support DDR4 memory and that the CPUs will have a max TDP of 65W, which is a significant drop in TDP when compared to current generation Steamroller/Kaveri based APUs and CPUs. We have already talked about the rumors that AMD's AM4 Platform could be launching as early as March of 2016, but it was always up for debate whether or not AMD's AM4 Platform would be launching with their New Zen Architecture right out of the gate or if it would start off with lower end CPUs or APUs using older architectures with DDR4 memory support.

Now we have had the chance to look at some leaked specifications of AMD's Bristol Ridge family of APUs, courtesy of Benchlife.info, showing that this family of AMD APUs/CPUs will be using AMD's Excavator architecture and will have a greatly improve performance per watt when compared to AMD's current generation Steamroller based APUs and CPUs.

AMD's new AM4 socketed motherboards have been seen in warehouses being shipped to suppliers. AMD has finally done away with their old AM3+ sockets. Hopefully the pins have been moved to the motherboard. AMD's Bristol Ridge series of CPUs will include both CPUs and GPUs, replacing AMD's Kaveri APUs and their newer Athlon 860K CPU, giving this segment of the market products from AMD that will feature more modern CPU and graphics architectures and much lower TDPs, which is something that is great to see from AMD. These products will be coming to AMD's AM4 platform, which is the same platform that will be supporting AMD's upcoming Zen Architecture and will be the platform for both AMD's high and low end of desktop products. It seems to work really well with Intel products. I'm really interested in how the new Zen architecture will change the business (if any).

Konami Recruiting For ‘New Metal Gear’

ubergizmo.com Wrote:Hideo Kojima has long been associated with Metal Gear Solid and Konami but that relationship turned sour earlier this year. Kojima quietly left the publisher a few months back and it was only confirmed about a week ago that he’s no longer with Konami and that he has set up an independent studio. That said, Konami won’t be giving up on one of its most popular titles, it has now started recruiting for a “New Metal Gear” title.
Konami has set up a new job ad and it’s seeking development staff that’s going to work on the next Metal Gear title, this is as clear a sign as any that Konami fully intends to continue this franchise even if Kojima is no longer at the helm.
Kojima will not have anything to do with the new Metal Gear game, he has set up an independent studio that’s going to develop its first game as an exclusive to the PlayStation 4.

Konami is currently recruiting for work on a new Metal Gear Solid title. Konami owns the franchise and label so they will definitely suck the franchise for cash. Hardcore Kojima fans will completely poo-poo the game while reguarding Kojima as a game creating god. Kojima might be a great story maker, but he's far from perfect. I'd trust neither of those companies. Don't just jump onto the Kojima bandwagon until he shows some promising game play. Recruiting is most certainly the first step in the long journey that’s eventually going to bring us a new Metal Gear game, fans will certainly be following all developments keenly, and Konami will have to outdo itself if it doesn’t want the scathing criticism that will follow the launch of a Metal Gear game that didn’t have Kojima leading the charge.

Juice Up Your Asus Maximus VIII Impact With EKWB's New Monoblock

tomshardware.com Wrote:Although EKWB built a monoblock that fit on the Asus Maximus VIII Hero, Ranger, and Gene back in October, the Maximus VIII Impact does not share the same design around the CPU socket area and therefore isn't compatible. For that very reason, EKWB built the EK-FB Asus M8I Monoblock.

The EK-FB Asus M8I Monoblock features a relatively standard design, but with a part of the block angled 90 degrees to cool the VRM circuitry on the Impact’s daughterboard. The area cooling the CPU uses the same cooling structure as that of the EK-Supremacy EVO.

Being an EK water block, it features a high-flow design, meaning that it is suitable to use in loops with weaker pumps or longer, more complex loops. Of course, we can’t really picture a scenario where you’ll have a long complex loop on a Mini-ITX board.

EK made a kickass waterblock for the new Maximus VIII. The interesting part of this waterblock is that the block cools both the VRMs and the cpu. That's quite impressive since the motherboard is micro-atx. EKWB is carrying the blocks in two variants, one with a clear acrylic top so that you can see the fluid inside and one with a sleek-looking Acetal top. This time around, EKWB won’t be making the blocks with bare copper parts – both units are treated with a nickel-plating to protect against corrosion. The block features the standard G1/4” threading, meaning it is compatible with the most common fittings and barbs. To install the block, you’ll have to remove the standard heatsink that sits on the VRM circuitry and keep the backplate. Pricing sits at $125.99 for both the acrylic and Acetal variants of the EK-FB Asus M8I Monoblock, and both are available immediately through EKWB’s page.

    New Razer Speaker

cnet.com Wrote:Everybody seems to be making portable Bluetooth speakers these days and Razer, known for its gaming devices and accessories, has joined the crown with the Leviathan Mini ($180, €199.99).

The company sent over a couple of early units -- yes, you can pair two of them together -- and the Leviathan Mini sounds good for its size. However, I'm not sure it does anything to outclass the competition, which includes such speakers as the Bose SoundLink Mini II and UE Boom 2.

The speaker is 3.34 inches (185mm) wide, 2.12 inches (54mm) deep, 2.16 inches (55 mm) high and weighs 1.18 pounds (538g). It includes a carrying case -- a nice extra -- and an integrated microphone for cell-phone calls. Battery life is rated at 10 hours and Bluetooth range is the typical 33 feet/10m. Bluetooth 4.0 is on board.

Razer did it. They managed to wait years for an idea to be thought of then make their version at an extremely high price. Talking of high, you've got to be high just to order this thing. It's the size of a brick with maximum 100$ worth of parts in there with a price tag of 180$. That extra 80$ is just to have that little green razer logo on the front of the speaker. Sounds like another company, *cough* Apple. The dimensions are 54 mm / 2.12” (L) x 185 mm / 3.34” (W) x 55 mm / 2.16” (H). Razer thinks they can charge an exorbitant price for a run-of-the-mill product. Razer also sells a full-size Leviathan soundbar that delivers 5.1 virtual surround. However, the Mini is just a portable Bluetooth speaker and I think Razer will have to bring its price down to get any traction in the highly competitive Bluetooth speaker market.

[block]Senpai took a break. He'll be gone until he's back.

The new theme has been partially released. You can switch to it under your User Control Panel. It's going to take a little more time before it's finally released in full, however, so you might find it unusable for the time being.

shameless self-advertisement ahead Final Faptasy is finally on a straight road, and will be receiving a final release either on 31st December or 1st January (initial dates). Starting the year out with a bang!

    Some nice threads: [/block]

Thanks for the heads up on my post yet again. Last weeks 'Weekly Speedrun Community' was definitely better than the one from two weeks ago. Anyhow, I'm planning on making either this or next weeks episode about a bit bigger game than the ones I've done so far, so anyone who cares might wanna look out for that, just depends on how much time I've got this weeks with christmas 'n stuff.

Nobody really knows. There's no official announcement in that regard since Rii didn't give enough info. Last I heard from her was when her friend agreed on letting her stay at his place.

I'm around, but its becoming quite difficult for me to moderate the forums, as I only have my mobile phone. But rest assured, I'm still here to help.

*cough* saikou would be a good mod.

Anyways, on topic. Thanks everyone for the continued support on these weekly news threads. I'm quite happy to say that it's been (a small) success. It started as a small idea with Poochy and I. It blossomed into something I never imagined could happen. Thanks all.
