The place for talking about the cold, the opposite of @malmon's Too Damn Hot.

Me? 50's low coming tonight here in the Appalachians, I better start bundling myself up, then.

    Weather Underground for Cumberland:

    Tonight Fri 09/29 Low 50℉
A few clouds. Slight chance of a rain shower. Low near 50℉. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Thanks to the new update for my Firefox called 'Firefox Screenshots', I bet that new feature would be very cool for me to try it out.

Here's my latest forecast for my area:

Had it for ages on the nightly ;)
Be careful though, if you click "save", it gets stored on Mozilla's servers.

Does that also apply if you do it via the browser command line?

I'm not sure. I would assume so. Using the "download" button means it just goes straight to your PC.

Ahh, I'd forgotten how much I liked the cooler weather. There's just something special about walking alone on a chilly night. In lieu of the sun beating down on your head, your center of sensation moves inward as you shutter yourself from the cold. You become occupied with your thoughts, yet nonetheless acutely aware of the world around you. On my best days, I've even felt as if I could better empathize with my friends, or even random strangers.

Perhaps this is just me, and winter just makes me happier for some reason. Regardless, it's really somethin'.

I spent my past four winters in Oregon and being back in Texas reminds me how much I miss the cold.

At least there's finally something of a breeze here.

Tonight is the night with mid 30's for me, and some rain to go with that, too. D:

So far, it's been an extremely mild winter. The highs here routinely reach 45F and 50F, with occasional breakthroughs to sixty. At this rate, we might not get a flake of snow till the new year. D:

5C here. The warmest it's been all week.

There was some snowfall here in October and early November but nothing since. A bit warmer than usual for this time of year.
  • Sozora 12-08-2017, 05:09 PM
The meteorologists are definitely calling for first snow on me tomorrow morning. They said a blast of cold would bring the temperature down low enough for most of the day.

It snowed on the morning of the 8th. It felt like summer right up until the end of November and then there's this. That's southern Texas for you.
  • Sozora 12-12-2017, 03:47 PM
It just started snowing on me, it is snowing on me, aaaa! >.<

For me, somehow the repeating cold fronts from Canada are not strong enough to pass over the mountains where I am to dump the minimum amount of forecasted snow, but it did snowed in surrounding areas instead. It has to do with the La Niña effect.

They say the probability chance of around an inch to a quarter of a foot for me is about fifty-fifty tomorrow through Saturday.

Really puts into perspective how wimpy us brits are, and really how mild and consistent our climate is through the year.

*Mimics wind sounds as best I can with this to simulate a wind chill of zero degrees or worse*
