the only requirement is that you have to actually like the song(s) you post

Emo as in the genre or just sad and moody in general? I'm a big fan of both!

It's an interesting genre to share as it always feels so intentionally solitary.

Don't know if this counts but I do like it.

    either one, they both work
if someone would say "that's so emo" it works

I don't think of female vox automatically when I think of old emo shit, but some of the best bands of the genre had girl vocalists.

I haven't listened to this stuff in forever but I used to devour it constantly. A mistake! So if anyone else is into it please recommend me bands.

    "I've been searching for an exit, but I'm lost inside my head;
Where I spend every waking moment wishing I was dead."

    it definitely fits

In that case I'll post one more by them as it was the song that got me into them and it fits just as well.

Can't help but feel like this whole album (Capri by Celer) drags my mood down whenever I listen to it

This made me feel like I cry every time and even more so when I played it, yet it touches me to the core.

Normally I listen to cheerful jpop and denpa. Nice change of phase, lol.

I only listened to this album once but when I saw the cover again this song came rushing back into my head. Catchier than most pop songs.

    currently an empty shell

I just listened to this whole album... But I listened to this song a lot during prime emo years (14-15):

Now I know the true meaning of Battleship Hime, maybe one day some forgivable KanMusu souls would come to accept the Abyssals for who they are.

But not today, not this time, not ever, because it won't come true, like BB Hime said.

    Good shiet though.

Harakiri For The Sky's latest stuff is really good.

This song keeps me company whenever I'm feelin' down. There's a certain catharsis in knowing other people have had difficulties similar to your own.
