Anime North American Elections for 203X

OOC: Ok, I am all familiar with U.S. history both modern and historical, the politics behind it and the major events, but in a near future hypothetical U.S. like this with Canada, Greenland, part of Latin America plus the Caribbean and Bermuda is not something I normally contend. Anyways, there will be six parties, two I am already familiar with, the Democrats and Republicans, but there is a new potential major party on the block, unique to this simulated nation, a merged Socialist/Communist Party. Three others that carry a small percentage of strong voters would be the Green Party dedicated to environmental issues, the African-Latino Unity Party regarding African-Americans and Latino-Americans, and lastly the Humane Party that concerns with animal-related rights like nekos, foxes, bunnies, etc.

I have the map but at first it will be blank because this will be the starting point.

The following six candidates in alphabetical order will be taking part in replacing Cordelia Thompson, and one of them is a boy, all over 18 years of age. The inevitable chance of mismatched results, protests going wild and corruption will be minimal with increasing and decreasing increments with temperature and humidity on where the meetings and speeches take place. Population of the projected 2030's North America give-or-take is roughly 575 million, assuming the increased sea rise is close to swallowing up the coastlines like Florida and Louisiana. Inclement weather conditions can have drastic impacts on voting.

Duration of the initial poll, known as the popular headstart vote, lasts from mid-summer to Nov 3. The actual elections don't start until Black Friday and lasts through Election Day the following year due to the electoral map being huge. The rules of the voting elections are different age-wise for presidency (theoretically 21 and not 35), but generally everything else is the same: Being a national born citizen and having stayed in the country legally for 14 years straight (5 if unmarried, 3 if legally married to a U.S. citizen from another country).

With 146 states total, amounting to 146 tiny white stars but maintaining the 13 stripes, that means 292 Senators, and 769 House representatives, with 1 for every 747,000 residents on average. The winning condition is to attain at least 385 votes out of 769 to pass for presidency, the House and Senate majority rules remain as is, though I don't have time to show pics of who is currently leading the House and the Senate. For House and Senate members, they only need to be 21 years minimum; becoming a House representative requires a 7-year stay in country whereas becoming a Senator takes up 9 years in country.

Note: A few states and all Canadian provinces as well as Greenland have been split, whereas Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts merged into one new state called the New Commonwealth, and the merging of Haiti and Dominican Republic into New Hispaniola. Anyone who lives in these following states, provinces or countries regarding these changes, I feel pity for you. :(

P.S. Sadly, I won't include Columbia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Peru, and Brazil, so they're left out. The closest I could get is I have to use Paint to add the remainder Caribbean islands like Trinidad and Tobago and changed the territories in some U.S. states so that way the country doesn't look too much out of place.

OOC: It's hard for me to decide who I get to vote for, the majority of them are just too cute not to pass up, but I'm leaning on the environmentalist enthusiast from California.

I even have musical themes for each of the candidates from where they generally live that fits their tastes.
Callie the aged Tsundere who likes 70's southern rock music - https://youtu.be/RFnkCIwGwiA
Elise the former street racing queen of Paris from her late teens now a pro-green energy politician is into modern electro - https://youtu.be/tf0c4D-cEio
Keaton the prospecting Canadian singer and potential memelord is into his country's nostalgic vision of the 1990's in today's world - https://youtu.be/ESXgJ9-H-2U
Keira who is the next generation lover of notorious street racer Ryan wants to remind the world of his past racing exploits - https://youtu.be/gK6NttnuN4s
Lili is into societal change for the Latinos and African-Americans, so her theme resembles around this - https://youtu.be/_9m8wUGcbsM
And lastly, Tajima a prospecting GuP military leader wanting total reform of the whole country even if it means resorting to force - https://youtu.be/rgCzEY8rhDo

Edit: I also have musical themes for the House and Senate leaders as well as their pics, too.

Juniper's theme being a laid-back Panthers fan girl is into classic hip-hop for her home state: https://youtu.be/K3NhfrhmmXI
Naomi's theme fits the gloomy, rainy side of the West Coast since she lives in Portland: https://youtu.be/9T1zPeZCaog

Ahh my gosh, these gals are so cute! And especially Keaton; I'd cuddle the hecc outta him. <3

Hmm, but how to vote, how to vote? The Democrats and Republicans wish to stay the course, which is fine, but all the other parties have valid points too. The Greens would likely be my first choice, since climate change is still running rampant; but the existence of the Humane Party tells me there's still unresolved tension between these human subspecies. And though I don't agree, I can sympathize with Ms. Salmond for her states being forcefully integrated into the stil-largely-English-speaking republic. And what, then about the Socialist party? Wouldn't the goals of the Greens and Humane party be easier to attain with her at the helm?

Decisions, decisions... Tell me, how are our relations with Ireland, France, and Japan? I'd imagine they're fine, but elections have a nasty habit of magnifying and distorting trivial points; dual-citizenships especially.

There must've been a dramatic timeskip especially on Japan's part that softened relations and a complete takeover of the monarchy because there's now a very weak Lucian presence only inside Parliament and a kinder leader than the Konohana family if I still remember due to recent climate events endangering the islands. And from there perhaps after a short series of intense negotiations between Roselia and France from behind closed doors not to repeat another pointless Roselia vs. France internet meme war with country balls and cartoon drawings.

As for Ireland, they are no longer disputed because of the border crackdown being successful after it went on for so long, so it also softened to a degree, the same would be said for Scotland after giving in to the pro-independence rallies as a legitimate nation after all these years. Italy is still nice thanks to Lena's successor, which is her cousin Lucrezia, but has ramped up its military recently in case of a climatic meltdown (water and fuel shortages, etc.) purely for domestic aid. Whatever has left of Lieseltania (or Tiyana), it was taken back by rebels (Czech Republic) from the inside after a devastating, but short-lived five-day outbreak of riots and turned it into a proper democracy, but it did not last long with Pravda who pulled the strings there. Yeah, other countries such as Germany and elsewhere will likely continue to do just that from what you said, distort and diffuse.

In addition, because I have been retired being an emissary, that means Japan becomes much less powerful and has already given away all conquered territories back to their respective owners. It still has a military but mainly only for self-defense, hence the JSDF. Even the dreaded Yamato has come back by some lucky artist and moored to the very same dock where it was originally built to attract tourists.

Now for the candidates' short backgrounds up to the day of the very start of the elections, and the rest such as Juniper and Naomi will be up to your imagination as time goes on, since this is your simulated country:
    [spoiler]
Callie has had a bit of a typical rivalry with the Democrats, as every famed Republican candidate already knows this from the back of their sweaty hands. She's a farmer who tends to her ranch not far from Little Rock along with a father, a son, and her parrot because her original home in Ireland was destroyed by a rare EF2 tornado a few years ago. She moved to the U.S. to seek a proper manufacturing job to promote her new brand of corn, the "Southern Corn Belt", albeit the new brand in question has garnered some media attention and controversy already weeks prior to the start of the elections of possible alleged hidden GMOs and pesticides in her new crop, earning her a rival spot on Elise's agenda.

Elise was born in the heart of southern Calfornia in a solar-powered home, she admires luxury cars but she also adores the environment. She boarded a plane to France upon turning 16, and was renowned albeit infamously as a street racing queen in France when she noticed a small club of five other girls who wanted to go out with her to a party one night only turned out it was a street race through the whole city. Despite the scrutiny of the events, she went on to use this as an opportunity to impress someone who has won the Le Mans from the past and challenged him to that course for a whole day straight after a series of smaller underground races within that country. It culminated in a one-on-one duel with all her club members using her custom-made Elise fit to adhere to safety regulations by the Paris Accord from a long time ago. She barely won the last race with a 0.025 of a second lead legally, then after the change of hands in the French Parliament not too long ago, they cleared her name, and given her dual citizenship rights so she can stay in France. However, she had to change out of her void passport with a clean new one before she re-entered Anime North America. She promises that a leader with an environmentalist means a much greener world for everyone, but she cannot forget the nightmarish memories of her past wrongs from her first trip.

Keaton is an aspiring singer but he is also a known celebrity alongside Laura Bailey, who lives on the other side of the U.S./Canadian border despite being part of the whole country. He envisions a world from his younger years as a child, drawing upon life with post-Cold-War images with humans living peacefully but under harrowing situations, even tried to add animals in his school drawings in art classes. He is even renowned for his memes involving his ongoing battles against people who like to mess with animals using his singing talents to emphasize his cause.

Keira, the one of a kind girlfriend to an international racer named Ryan is no stranger to her adoration for his amazing skills, not to mention the many years behind him with police sirens blaring in declassified documents. Although she does not mention him by name but rather as "sidekick", she does race with him on closed courses simply to impress him. On the political field though, she does what she can to defeat her Republican rivals as any typical Democrat would, even from her beach house in Delaware State.

Lili Salmond has had rough times with her home island since the aftermaths of numerous hurricanes, but more importantly is her people who have long been in debate on whether Puerto Rico gets the chance to become a legitimate state, and it did happened years ago. Now the island along with the rest of the Caribbean is about to go underwater before the next presidential term, prompting her an urgent campaign with the promise of allowing Puerto Ricans to apply for the labor credit and jobs needed and to migrate closer to the mainland without the fear of being detained. She is an avid supporter of not only the Latinos, but also African-Americans who live in the southern states and will have to endure the harsh realities of the Deep South and Central America as her initial goals.

Lastly, for Tajima, she looks very much like Hana and Mako fused together and has successfully replaced Miho after winning a graduation duel back in Japan whilst retaining her school clothes. Miho reluctantly accepted the loss, allowing her to become the club's president but decided not to run the club for someone else to pursue other ambitious agendas. She sought military school to train herself for live championship matches using tanks and somehow stopped doing it after she graduated. She got the scholarship permit from the state government to head for Japan as early as 15 by the board's request, and stayed there for only three years before heading back to Hawaii. She was present at one of Miya's election rallies in the Tokyo area just days prior to her becoming the new staunch leader of the Lucian peoples. She sadly missed her as a good friend of hers despite ideological conflicts only months prior to applying for candidate membership in Honululu for this election to become the next president. If she's successful, Anime North America would be running even more smoothly under her control with socialist motives and would promise to bring her former club's friends in to reminisce their school days. Even if she loses, she can still bring in her friends from time to time if she wants to.
