I still can't figure out why I love Yung Lean. His music is hypnotic. He won't be for everyone, obviously, but if you want something new, try him out :)

This is a wide transition from what rap was when I was growing up.

Honestly, it's horrible right now. But I believe sad rap could turn into something else, like beat/flow based rap.

You're right, rap has most certainly changed over time. Nothing could ever compare to the likes of Biggie, Nas or even dating back to the Sugarhill Gang.

However, I suppose as music changes, we should to.

I like Lean because it's slow and sad instead of aggressive and self-centered I guess.

I'm not saying Yung Lean is bad, but it's all about perspective I guess.

When I think of rap, I think of B.I.G and the rest of them so it should definitely be a sub-genre because of the way it's evolved.
