Microsoft merely trying to show the other companies they can give them more profit by joining them on windows 10 for example, let's go to companies that makes games so since if they can stop some people, ofc not all since there will always be people to counter it and do something about it but there will be people who have no idea won't be able to do and there is possibility for them to go buy the game which will profit the company, you saw how they abandoned browsers like Firefox and google chrome to make their own and put it on default for every user on windows 10, you should see the article of firefox complaining about Microsoft, they also trying to rescue xbox by using windows 10, and many more things I can talk about, since they are trying to make their windows superior to the other things, they shut down many companies and earned other companies support, anyway about pirating and companies that makes game, this was merely to earn some companies support which by making more games for windows 10, the more games on windows 10, more people will likely to use it, since we all know the best OS for gaming is windows, this was one example of bunch of companies, there are a lot of other companies I can use as an example but I just used the one that belong to the topic, so anyway my point is Microsoft isn't really trying, they never did, this one isn't considered try, it's just plan to help itself as company.

That first part already discredits you. Trying too hard, bae.

Also, if you are, this, is, not, proper, writing, stop, skipping, English, 1.

I'm gonna be honest, I didn't get past the fourth line because there's so many syntax errors and you seem to trail off to so many random 'points' that you just lost me. This is barely even fucking coherent.

I just watched Idiocracy. Please no. Please. I'm not judging anything, but just please. No. Please. I mean for real. Please. at least say something that prove your shit

lol everyone wants to seem intelligent on the internet nowadays, so they'll take whatever chance they can get to correct someones grammar. Just to let you know, I'm from Israel, our primary language is Hebrew, secondary Arabic, so it's pretty normal if our English isn't Good

oh is that so

It took you ten years to watch a classic while apparently being 18. K. That's not even relevant so I won't bully you too much on it.

Yes. That's so.
I don't care about your excuses, if you go to an English speaking community and try to make a point without the ability to speak English, you've no one to blame but yourself. An anime grill won't save you from that.

Also, for someone who mentioned IDIOCRACY as a point just five seconds ago, trying to say grammar isn't important is painfully ironic.

That's offtopic xD, you're sad man, anyway this doesn't change the fact that what I said was true, you're just here throwing words and not talking about windows 10 at all, I'll ignore you next time if you keep going offtopic
also good for you, being a keyboard warrior sure is nice xD

Hardly off topic as he was saying that he would see us in prison for the games he pirated. How come the hypocrite police haven't arrested you?

Why is this thread devolving into Mikoto arguing with people.

Just a tip, if you're going to have a large chunk of text, try to slice it into paragraphs so it's less daunting and more digestible. I don't mean to be condescending, it's actual advice. When arguing, I'd also recommend proofreading before sending because proper grammar and spelling make the discussion at least seem more civil. But please just keep it to PMs.

On topic, since I want to become a game dev, I don't pirate any games. I don't really judge people for doing it (after all, it's so easy), but it still irks me immensely. If you pirated a game and erally really liked it, please buy it.

In reality, all he's doing is pushing the same buttons he always has, nothing has changed. The longer he spends here, the more invested he gets, the more he forgets which life is the real one.

No, they can't. They can if it's a Windows app specifically, but they're not going to. The only reason they'd even stop you using pirated software is if it was their own and you were using it as a company. They don't go after pirated commercial licenses, but they do go after pirated enterprise licenses. The fine for pirating programs at a business level like that is astronomically high, which is why people don't do it.

Do you control your computer or does your computer control you? As some web dictionary says "a device, usually electronic, that processes data according to a set of instructions."
What about when you use an operating system such as Windows when it will block the set of instructions that you set? Linux does not limit you like Windows does.

Illegal activity is not all that bad either. Without it we would all be careless, damages would be much more severe the fewer times they do take place.

That is why Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Amazon, NASA, and even McDonalds run on Linux, according to this article:
http://www.tecmint.com/big-companies-and...-gnulinux/

Also, I wont look into it too much but even the above article mentioned that "more than 70% of Internet Hosting and service providers are Linux based."
That must count for something.

> implying few developers who got their degrees few months ago is better than experts

I am by no means officially in the field; however, I do have experience with a system administration internship. In my time there, despite the fact that we had to run Windows due to clientele preference, we still ran Linux systems and our servers typically were almost always running on a Linux system, even though it's against policy at times it works better and gets the job done with minimal bullshit so no one complains.

I also have known many very, very smart people online on a more intimate level, many of whom prefer the use of Linux systems.

Now with all that being said, cool man, you are 18 and freshly working towards a computer science degree. Well, I'm younger than you and probably have more experience than you will by the time you're 22 as well. So please quit with your whiney "Windows is master race argument". It's not. Windows is good for video/graphic/audio editing and gaming; Linux basically dominates every other potential aspect.

Enjoy loving Windows and relying on strictly your MCSE certificate for your entire career.

EDIT: I could argue your points more, but that would be way too lengthy of a post for this time in the morning. I just wanted to add this real quick:
You mentioned that the Linux community is toxic and that the Windows community is more helpful. The Windows community baby's you like the baby you are, while the Linux community treats you like a man -- You are expected to research your shit and try to figure things out on your own before they begin to offer you advice, but once they do offer you advice, it's a hell lot more intellectual.

Actually while we are talking about doing your own research, with all of the Linux issues you had, it's funny that you never mentioned fixing them. The more issues you fix, the more experience you get; the longer you use Linux, the smarter you become. I also rarely have any issues with anything that you previously mentioned, and when I do, I fix them fairly quickly.

You also mentioned that Linux users try to copy Windows somehow or something.
Tell me, how does this look like an intended copy of Windows?

The topic has long since been proven wrong, so I see no point in why this thread continues to be revived for the sake of hammering more nails into a coffin.
