I like reading about history, philosophy, religion, and sometimes science.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mo...lic_Church

This is an interesting list to look at and think about how much diversity there was in the early church, even if we think of the Christianizing of the Roman Empire as a monolithic bulldozer. Things could have been very different for the entire world if some of these views held greater sway at the Ecumenical Councils.

There isn't as much of a culture of "heresy" in eastern religions, which is nice in some ways, but somewhat counterintuitively actually makes the diversity in its movements harder to track in many ways, so it's harder to find lists like this for Buddhism or Hinduism in comparison.

I have a big bookmark folder full of interesting Wiki pages that I need to dig up.

Extra History made a rather nice series of videos on this. You've probably read all they have to offer, but they're nice for casual learners like me.

This one was interesting because of the origin of his ridiculous name. Amazing to think that, well over two hundred years ago, people had a good sense of humor.
