Basically a long and meandering polemic about all your shortcomings, occasionally mixed with a laundry list of all the terrible things that will happen in my future. I'm feeling better now, though it's small wonder why I was on the verge of depression earlier today.

I think it is a major scolding or reprimand from someone; it is also used in extreme situations in military discipline also known as, "degradation/cashiering", in workplaces, it's called "casual day", and wearing casual attire in formal events.
