I don't think having an unjammed gun would really make a difference in this case~

Rude. But yeah Rose has a better aim than one eyed me with guns. Was indoors paint ball :D luckily in the pool room so no furniture ruined by paint but hey seeing her happy made it worse getting unreasonably shot dozens of times :')

That still sounds extremely messy though!

Weird. Hopefully you got it resolved!

Anyways, my flash drive seems to have completely borked. Gives me a "Insert a disk into ___" error whenever I plug it in. I guess I'm gonna send it to a data recovery company at some point, because the only solutions to fixing this from what I've read involve formatting.

I once recovered a friends third year project by talking him through opening the drive in HxD, then just copying out the raw data he needed. Obviously this might not work too well if you have loads of files, or binary files.

If the drives close to dead, that might be a bad idea anyway.

Yeah it's got a lot of stuff on it, so I probably couldn't do this.

(08-03-2019, 11:03 PM)Backlash Wrote: Today, I stumbled across the strangest of unwelcome visitors at my doorstep: A rather large beetle, about as long as your thumb, and a good deal fatter, that clung to the mesh screen in front of the door. And you might think "Oh, well that's no problem, go on in then!", and I would have! Except, that this particular guest was in something of a foul mood.

As I drew close, I was rattled by a sound like bullets landing at my feet. Initially I ducked and raised my hand to block - a counterintuitive maneuver, but instinctual - till I noticed my visitor slamming himself on the sheet metal awning above me. So I drew close for the door once he'd stopped, yet again this thing goes flying every which way, striking everything almost like some demonically-possessed pinball! Till finally the damn thing disappears from my vision, and I pull open the screen door.

Now, something you ought to know, I'd just gotten back from a rather tiring endeavor far away, and as such was hurting quite a bit. So when I saw that blasted beetle sitting on the metal lip between the outer and inner doors, when I heard the inhuman sounds it made trying to threaten me, I was having none of it. I aimed, stomped as hard as I could, before scraping off the remains on the asphault. I finally stepped inside my own home.
Perhaps I should remind you of practicing sleep hygiene in the simplest form, the longer you go being awake like that, it will do more than just tiring you out and hurting your concentration, and it can definitely mess up your mind with visions and eventually can kill you through overrevving your stress functions if you overdo it. Sleep deprivation kills people faster than the amount of time it takes for you to starve or dehydrate.

Moreover, please, please, get some much-needed rest; there is no need to take too much risk putting yourself in harm's way, especially when you describe that near-miss incident and falling into the pavement. You are not alone; you have us, but only to give you comforting prayers. If your job complicates your health problems, call your boss that you're truly sick to give you time to recover, your body will thank you for it.

You could try dd'ing all the data from the drive in Linux. But again, that could just finish it off before you get anywhere.
