Aw shit, well, at least you're ok!

Ouch, that must suck! Hope you are doing OK. Did a doctor take a look at you?

Well... at least it can't get much worse, the next time you go outside...

A lot of weird shit is going down back on Lucia, which is the reason I was on an unscheduled absence. I am at war on two fronts: one is Nature's Dominion who doesn't seem to tolerate anyone who isn't part of the Family as well as sub-owning Gensokyo than I previously thought to be Remilia, and the other are some dissidents from Eientei, who somehow manage to betray Kaguya Hime, a founder who controls Eientei. I met an unexpected ally representing a historical WWII Japan no doubt, given that Lucia is no stranger to Imperialist motives. Lyretano, the one I met a week ago that kickstarted our third civil war with shaky loyalties and no single ideology to stick, and the Order of Twelve, a curious country pursuing knowledge from others and exceptionally good at factbooks despite having entered NS very recently.

Yeah, I just have some whiplash and a small concussion but I'm getting better. Unfortunately, it seems my camera might not be okay. Although the fucking idiot's insurance should be taking care of that.

I'm sure you'll be fine, mate. I've dodged enough accidents to know fortune favors a fool. ^^

Anyways, today I had the chance to be home alone for the longest time in forever. No brother screeching on his video games, no mother pestering me about whatever she obsesses over. Just me, the house, and the sound of cicadas outside my window.

Feels good. Feels peaceful, would be a nice word. I can understand why so many folks opt to snag an apartment once they get a career, but... I'd rather not part with half my salary. Not yet.

Now I don't appreciate being watched, but the camera was of astonishingly good quality, so I'd go on to spend the better part of five minutes checking myself out and making funny faces.

There was a cashier gal watching the lines as I was doing this. I didn't get a good look at her, but I can only hope she'll tell her friends about it later.

That's cute of you XD

Had an eye appointment a few days ago and it ended with me getting eyedropped. It'd been so long that I had no real recollections of what the sensation was like. Just the weirdest feeling.

Went on a trip to the local grocery store, and happened upon a floor-worker leaning down to adjust her outfit whilst gathering carts from the parking lot. I passed her, giving the appropriate silent nod, and she replied hoarsely, "My socks were fallin' down. Had to fix 'em."

I stopped in my tracks, turned back to look at her, and only then did I realize she was justifying herself to me this supposed faux pas. I assured her, "I wasn't judgin' ya!", to which her countenance and disposition brightened considerably.

I don't even know the poor gal's name, but she has my sincerest sympathy for whatever she's going through, and I hope brighter days visit her soon.

I have another one of those recent weird moments in NS about one or more of my former comrades near my Italy puppet from one of the pro-socialist regions apparently support a wee bit of fascism in the fact books. It could also be their RMB (TCB had a condemnation attempt as a region before and my Italy was pending to join at the time) are simply forced far-left inclination debates. The condemnation proposal from the Security Council targeting one of my friends quickly proved false, but it still triggered my indication of strong opposition and had to move my Italy over to Iwaku where @Backlash and Arpino's allies reside. I informed the SC nominee in the TG in OOC that my relations with him upon my discovery have fallen out; within moments, he replied, "Whatever floats your boat."

A few days before that, I tried my very best expressing my opposition opinions in great detail with some snarkiness against Nature's Dominion, only to come back with a reply from Davide himself showing an unlikely bit of compassion despite Emily's factbooks depicting outsiders in RPs as untrustworthy. I was going to arrange a poll-style duel with him to settle the whole dispute and end the RP war, but as it turns out according to Eientei's RMB, Emily as the Scarlet Estate said that he's nothing but a memory and wants to enjoy solitude. I then checked on Davide's overview as Lucia with its three freedoms: Frightening, Strong, and Corrupted, with no policies or factbooks written, and he's still active.

Kinda nifty how parlance on the internet differs from and augments real life. In olden days I might've been an "Anglophile", but today I got called a "Teaboo". I'll take it.

We ordered some MCU samples for our group project - told them to just send 5 or so. They sent 200. So we got ~£400 of microcontrollers for free.

When I was in Siberia this summer we camped close to the small village of Inja for one night. To reach the unpopulated other side of the Katun river, where we planned to pitch our tent, we crossed this old and mostly rotten through bridge.

Legit one of the scarriest things I've done in my life.

(video of some Russian guy crossing it)

In other news, a couple of kids I handed candy to last night asked me of I played Fortnite. I said "yeah", thinking it'd be cool, then they up and even went around giving me their usernames.

Kids do the darndest things, eh? There was also this one little guy carrying a staff and dressed in a cloak I asked if he was Gandalf the Grey, but it turns out he was just the "friendly neighborhood wizard" making the rounds. He even cast a spell on me, giving me plus-five Luck and one extra Charisma. Talk about a swell guy. :3

I forgot about daylight savings. Noticed that the clock on my phone and a simple digital display that I have were an hour apart. Got very confused for a sec there.

If you were to try changing the clock during those times of the year when playing certain games, the AI will think that you're tampering the system and will force you into a "truth or dare" scenario. One of those games such as Paper Mario is likely an example of anti-cheat protection by design that can cause controversy in a nation that makes games outside of Daylight Savings rules.
