Deluge Torrent or Free Download Manager (+BitTorrent Clinet) on Windows. And Transmission on Linux. Because it's ad-free.

Upvote @Axotion and everyone else!

How the fuck can you even use the internet with 1.25kB/s upload? That sounds awful D:

I've always used Deluge. Will probably continue to use Deluge until they turn to adware or whatever is up with uTorrent.

I use Transmission more or less exclusively these days.  Back when Windows 7 was my main OS, on the other hand, my torrent client of choice was µTorrent 2.2.1.

I used to use Transmission, but after the security breach with OS X users, I have switched to qBittorrent. I do not want to have to worry about my torrent client downloading malware onto my machine when I am updating it.

my favorite is deluge but I was trying to rtorrent. It is terminal/text based and quite basic. doesn't seem to save the torrents after you close it.

I used rtorrent for quite a long time, and I never had an issue with it forgetting torrents. Maybe you didn't get up the session folder (can't remember if it has one) properly?

this was only a problem if you downloaded the file from their website. If you updated your transmission im pretty sure you were fine.

I use transmission on linux
