What according to you make a good anime? There's mainly 5 things in an anime for most people-- story, sound, art, character and character development.
What do you think an anime need to be classified as "very good" ?
I give the least priority to the art and sound while judging for a very good anime. The plot is important, and so is the character development, but for me, the most important part are the characters. Even if you have a great plot, without the right characters, the plot goes to waste.
Sometimes, I also watch an anime with a really bad plot but great characters because its fun. (Note the sometimes).
Characters pretty much means everything to me, including the villain. If the villain has a definite and cool character, I tend to like him even if his role in the plot is lame. Overall, the order goes something like in priority for me:
Characters > Story > Character development > Art > Music.
